There is no single Blue Archive tier list that ranks every student as the best choice for every player. A student’s value depends on the mode, raid boss, team role, difficulty, and how much you can invest in them. Use a list that matches your goal—raids, PvP, or story—and treat its rankings as a starting point for building a team, not a universal verdict.
What a Blue Archive tier list can—and cannot—tell you
A tier list compresses a complicated roster into a quick comparison. That is useful when you are deciding whom to recruit or build, but a rank only means something within the publisher’s stated criteria. A raid-focused ranking does not automatically answer which students are strongest in PvP, and a general ranking may hide the value of a specialist who excels against one boss.

There is no established authoritative ranking covering every student, server, and game mode. Lists can differ because they assess different content, roles, difficulty levels, investment assumptions, and versions of the game.

For raids
Prefer a raid-specific ranking, then narrow it to the boss or encounter you are preparing for. BlueArchive.gg’s tier list separates ratings by raid, unit category, and difficulty, making it more useful for encounter planning than a single roster-wide order. Mobi.gg’s Blue Archive tier list also explicitly focuses on raid performance.
#1 Best Overall
- Asuna character from the popular game “Blue Archive”
- Figure is carefully crafted to recreate the look of the game in action expressions
- Made of high quality PVC material that does not emit a pungent odor
- Figures are 1/6 scale and are the focal point of the tabletop
- If you have any questions about the product, please contact us and we will respond within 24 hours
For PvP
Use PvP-specific advice rather than assuming a raid ranking transfers. A September 30, 2026 community roundup links to separate PvP and raid resources, reflecting that the modes call for different comparisons. The Blue Archive community’s September 30, 2026 question megathread also points readers toward roster tracking and progression planning tools.
For story and general progression
Look for a list that explains how it weighs versatility and investment, not just peak performance in one encounter. Students who perform well across story stages and multiple modes may be more useful to a developing roster than a specialist whose value depends on a narrow team or situation.

How to read tiers without treating them as a build order
Mobi.gg says its raid ratings consider Strikers and Specials at maximum skill level. Its tier labels distinguish broad raid strength from alternatives, early- or mid-game choices, situational picks, and beginner-oriented use. Those categories describe that publisher’s framework; they are not a universal scale shared by every list.
For example, Mobi.gg’s S+ overview names Ako, Fuuka (New Year), Himari, Shizuko (Swimsuit), Aris (Maid), Azusa (Swimsuit), Haruna, and Hasumi (Track). That is its raid-focused assessment, not a consensus ranking or proof that these are the best students for every mode or account. The page says it was updated August 24, 2026, so check its live roster and criteria before using it for a current decision.

A high rank also does not tell you whether you have the right teammates, equipment, skills, or resources to make that student effective. Ludo Guide’s framework offers useful questions to ask when comparing characters: how broadly they work, whether they dominate a specialist role, whether they improve allies or enable a composition, and how much investment they need. Its page was last updated in October 2024, so use it for those comparison principles rather than current placements. The guide cautions: “Remember, while a tier list provides a strong foundation, strategic team building and understanding specific mechanics will always triumph over blindly following rankings.”
A practical way to decide whom to build
- Name the content. Decide whether you need a raid team for a specific boss, a PvP lineup, or students for story and general progression.
- Check the list’s scope. Confirm its mode, encounter, difficulty, unit category, and whether it assumes maximum skills or other endgame investment.
- Compare the explanation, not only the letter. Look for why a student ranks well: broad usefulness, a specific role, synergy, or a niche matchup.
- Check your account’s constraints. Consider whether you own the required teammates and can afford the materials, Eligma, skills, and equipment needed for the build.
- Verify date and roster coverage. Check the visible update date and whether the list includes the students you are considering. A newer date alone does not prove that every current student is covered.
Check dates, version, and roster coverage
Rankings can become stale as students are released and event availability changes. Pocket Gamer’s page illustrates why dates need checking: search indexing reported a September 6, 2026 update and version 1.93.452024 adding Niko and Kurumi, while the opened page displayed a July 16, 2026 update, version 1.90.439170, adding Koyuki (Pajamas). Because those dates and version details do not agree, the page should not be treated as a verified current roster without checking its live contents. Its title is “Blue Archive tier list – The definitive ranking of every student in class”, but the full tier table was not exposed in the reviewed page text, so complete coverage of every current student is unverified.

Before spending scarce resources, compare more than the headline rank. Check whether the list matches your region or server, the current game version, your target mode and encounter, and the investment assumptions behind its evaluation.
