BLADE describes a commercial-sized jet retrofitted with 16 single seats, each positioned between a window and the aisle. The announcement names USAC Airways 695, an Aero subsidiary, as the operator. BLADE markets and arranges the service; its legal disclosure says that for U.S. flights it acts as an air charter broker and indirect air carrier, while flights are operated by licensed direct air carriers.

How the Manhattan and airport connections work
Travelers can start at Blade Lounge West in Manhattan and take a helicopter to the jet at Westchester, or go directly to BLADE’s private terminal at HPN. BLADE’s announcement estimates the helicopter leg at approximately 10 minutes; its service page gives 12 minutes. Those are company-stated flight estimates, not a guarantee of total transfer time, which also depends on the passenger’s schedule and ground arrangements.

These are BLADE’s published starting prices and discounts, not a quoted fare for a specific flight. Confirm the all-in price, availability and terms in the booking flow. The announcement quotes Blade CEO Rob Wiesenthal describing a market gap between a “$1,000 first class seat” and a “$25,000 private jet charter”; those figures are his characterization, not independently verified route fares.
Baggage and pets
- Jet only: BLADE lists two checked bags totaling up to 100 lb, one carry-on and one personal item.
- With a helicopter connection: BLADE lists one carry-on weighing up to 25 lb and one personal item. The published allowance differs from the jet-only allowance, so check the applicable rules for your itinerary.
- Dogs: BLADE lists an additional $300 per flight for a dog under 20 lb. A larger dog requires its own seat; an additional seat is also required if one passenger brings more than one small dog. The page lists a seasonal Dog Pass for dogs up to 20 lb at $3,500, covering flights the passenger books during the season.

Changing a flight
BLADE says a BLADEone seat can be switched up to seven days before departure. Inside seven days, it says a flight cannot be changed unless a substitute passenger buys the seat; in that case, BLADE issues credit equal to the ticket price. Review the full change and cancellation terms before purchase.

How to assess whether it fits your trip
A scheduled seat on a small-capacity jet is different from chartering an entire aircraft. BLADE says charter customers can select a specific departure time and may be able to bring excess luggage; BLADEone operates to its published schedule. Compare the full itinerary rather than flight time alone:
- Include the trip to HPN, any Manhattan helicopter connection, and onward transport from OPF or DJT.
- Compare the exact airports and terminal arrangements with the alternatives you are considering.
- Check the live total fare, baggage and pet rules, and what the change policy means for your plans.
- Decide whether the advertised lounge and onboard amenities matter to you, and whether a scheduled departure meets your needs.
