What Bitdeer announced
Bitdeer AI, part of Bitdeer Technologies Group, announced a 10-year data-center services agreement for A901. Bitdeer describes the planned campus as a 67 MW AI Cloud site in Malaysia. The release does not name the agreement’s counterparty or provide its commercial terms beyond the 10-year term.

The 67 MW figure refers to critical IT load, according to Bitdeer. It describes the announced campus capacity, not a report of operating capacity.

Bitdeer calls A901 its third Malaysian hub, alongside Cyberjaya and Johor. The announcement does not specify A901’s city, state, or more precise location, so it should not be assigned to either named hub or a particular locality based on this release alone.

What the campus is intended to support
Bitdeer says A901 is intended to be engineered for liquid-cooled, rack-scale NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 systems and enterprise AI workloads. This is a design plan; the announcement does not say those systems are installed or that the campus is already serving customers.
Delivery targets and customer commitments
Bitdeer targets the start of capacity delivery in Q1 2027 and delivery of the full 67 MW in Q2 2027. These are forward-looking company targets, not completed construction, energization, or delivery milestones.

Bitdeer also stated that, as of October 8, 2026, it had entered into no offtake commitments for A901 capacity. The services agreement therefore should not be described as proof that customers have contracted to use the campus’s capacity.

How to interpret Bitdeer’s wider AI Cloud figures
In the same announcement, Bitdeer reported approximately 273.5 MW of secured AI Cloud data-center capacity across Malaysia, Norway, and the United States. The company defines secured capacity as owned capacity or capacity covered by an executed data-center services agreement. It said this represented approximately 78% of its target of up to 350 MW by Q1 2028. These are company-reported figures, not independent market measurements, and the 273.5 MW is not A901’s customer backlog.

Bitdeer also estimated its active AI Cloud pipeline at more than $10 billion. The company described that figure as potential contract value under commercial discussion. It is not reported revenue, backlog, an executed contract, or a binding commitment, and the announcement does not attribute that pipeline value to A901.

The announcement establishes the agreement term, planned critical IT load, intended system design, and target delivery windows. It does not identify the counterparty, specify A901’s precise location, report installed equipment, or establish customer offtake for the campus. Bitdeer’s targets also depend on factors it identifies as risks, including approvals, third-party developer and service-provider performance, equipment delivery, site readiness, power availability and utility charges, construction and energization schedules, financing, and customer demand.

Bitdeer CFO Michael G. Potter characterized the market this way: “Demand for liquid-cooled, rack-scale AI capacity in Southeast Asia is running ahead of what the market can deliver, and customers are asking for it earlier and in larger blocks.” This is Potter’s assessment, not an independently verified market finding.
