BigRock offers domain registration, DNS management and related domain tools, but whether it is a good fit depends on the extension you want, its renewal price, privacy rules and what you need to do with the domain. Its published policies give prospective buyers useful details on transfers and refunds; they do not establish how easy the service is to use or how well customer support resolves problems.
What BigRock provides
BigRock lists registrations for extensions including .in, .com and .org, alongside DNS management, forwarding, domain theft protection and an account control panel. These are features BigRock advertises; the available information does not independently assess their usability or support quality. Check the current price list for the exact extension you want.

How to evaluate the price
Compare the registration, renewal and transfer prices for the same extension and currency, rather than judging the service by an introductory offer alone. BigRock’s price list is dynamic; prices checked on October 7, 2026 may change, so confirm the amounts shown for your domain before ordering. Also check whether any extra service is selected during checkout and whether its cost recurs.

BigRock’s transfer guidance says an incoming transfer can take 7–14 days, depending in part on the existing registrar’s process. Before starting, BigRock asks customers to disable privacy, verify the registrant email, remove domain locks and obtain the authorization code. Its transfer information advertises a one-year extension: “We will add one year to your domain’s current expiry date for no additional cost.” Confirm that the extension applies to your TLD and order before relying on it.
#1 Best Overall
- Disable domain privacy at the current registrar if required for the transfer.
- Verify that the registrant email address works and is accessible.
- Remove the domain lock.
- Request the authorization code from the current registrar.
- Start the transfer with BigRock and follow any confirmation steps from the registrars involved.
BigRock’s instructions are on its domain-transfer page. A transfer may be delayed if the details are not ready or the existing registrar has not completed its part.
Refunds and auto-renewals
BigRock’s money-back policy limits refunds for domains. It says renewals and auto-renewals are not refundable, and deleting a domain during the money-back period may incur a fee. Only selected TLDs qualify for a four-day domain refund period, so verify eligibility for the extension you are buying.
Rank #2
The same policy says auto-renewal is attempted seven days before expiry for orders with a tenure under three months, and 30 days before expiry for orders over three months. Check the current policy and your account’s renewal settings rather than assuming you can cancel a renewal after it is processed.
Privacy depends on the extension and rules
BigRock’s privacy policy says domain registration information may be publicly accessible through WHOIS when ICANN or registry rules require it. The policy notes that individuals may be able to opt out of bulk access in some circumstances, but it does not promise uniform private registration across all TLDs. Before buying, check what information is displayed for your chosen extension and what privacy options apply in your jurisdiction.

What customer complaints can—and cannot—tell you
One Reddit poster described friction with the “eKYC system,” being “unable to transfer my domain” while verification was pending, spam calls and concern about “no WHOIS privacy support” for a .in domain. That account is an individual experience, not evidence of how common these problems are. It does suggest practical questions to resolve in advance: what verification is required, whether it can affect a transfer, and what registration data will be public for your TLD.

BigRock may suit someone who has confirmed the full cost for a specific extension, is comfortable with the applicable privacy rules and has checked the transfer and refund terms relevant to their plans. It is less suitable to choose on the basis of a low first-term price alone, an assumed privacy guarantee or an expectation that a renewal can be refunded. The available information is not enough to rank BigRock against other registrars on price, support or reliability.
