For a mostly static visual with Marathi songs, start with 1080p at 30 fps, H.264, RTMPS, CBR, and 14 Mbps video, plus stereo AAC audio at 44.1 kHz and 128 Kbps. If your upload connection cannot sustain that reliably, use 720p30 at 8 Mbps. YouTube recommends a 2-second keyframe interval and about 20% upload headroom. These are starting settings, not a guarantee: test the actual encoder, network, audio and rights before leaving a channel on continuously.
Recommended YouTube Live settings for Marathi songs
YouTube’s live encoder guidance, checked on October 3, 2026, recommends the following settings. A static or gently animated song visual usually has little reason to use 60 fps; choosing 30 fps is a practical recommendation rather than a YouTube requirement. If your visuals contain fast motion, check the result in a test stream.

For a lower-bandwidth alternative, YouTube recommends 8 Mbps for 720p30 H.264. The platform automatically transcodes an incoming stream into playback formats for different viewer devices and networks, but that does not remove the need for a stable encoder upload.

Choose a bitrate your upload can sustain
The 14 Mbps and 8 Mbps figures are recommended video bitrates, not total connection requirements. Your connection must carry the stream’s total bitrate, including audio, and remain stable while other people or devices use the network. YouTube advises leaving about 20% upload bandwidth headroom; measure outbound upload capacity, not download speed.
- Choose 1080p30 if your measured upload remains steady above the stream’s total bitrate with headroom.
- Choose 720p30 if 1080p is unstable or creates too much encoder or network load.
- Test at the time and location you plan to stream. Shared Wi-Fi, household traffic and changing network conditions can reduce available capacity.
- Do not raise bitrate just to maximize resolution. YouTube recommends the highest quality the connection can sustain reliably.

Set up the encoder and YouTube stream
Exact controls vary by encoder, so use these values in the matching fields rather than assuming a particular software interface. YouTube supports streaming with an encoder; choose software or hardware based on the computer’s capability, required codec and resolution, unattended reliability needs and budget. YouTube recommends professional-grade hardware encoders for higher-production-value events, but does not name a best model.

- Confirm eligibility. Your channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. YouTube also states that a person must be at least 16 to live stream. Check the current status in YouTube Studio. See YouTube live-streaming eligibility.
- Create or schedule a live stream in YouTube Studio. Select the encoder workflow and retrieve the stream URL and stream key shown for the stream. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it, and use the current key in your encoder’s stream setup.
- Configure the encoder. Set RTMPS, H.264 progressive video, 1080p30, CBR, 14 Mbps, a 2-second keyframe interval, and AAC stereo at 44.1 kHz and 128 Kbps. For SDR, set Rec. 709. If the network cannot sustain this, test 720p30 at 8 Mbps.
- Connect and preview. Enter the stream URL and key in the encoder, start sending a test signal, and wait for the preview in YouTube Studio. Confirm the event is visible on the channel and watch pages, including on a mobile device.
- Run a representative test. Include music, song transitions and the visual design you intend to use. Check audio levels, sync, image quality and YouTube’s stream-health notices before committing to a long broadcast.
- Plan continuity. Test what happens after an encoder or connection restart and test any failover rather than assuming it works. Monitor stream health and verify any local recordings.
YouTube advises setting up an encoder at least two hours before an event and starting it at least 15 minutes early for scheduled streams. Can YouTube save a 24-hour livestream?
Do not rely on one continuous 24/7 broadcast to create a complete replay. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. Its DVR guidance also warns that rewind may be limited or unavailable beyond 12 hours.
If a complete replay matters, divide the broadcast into sessions shorter than 12 hours and record a local backup. This adds operational work and requires enough local storage, but avoids treating a long-running live feed as a dependable full-length archive. YouTube’s published guidance does not guarantee that every stream under 12 hours will produce a complete archive.

Clear the music rights before going live
Having audio files or permission to play songs privately does not by itself establish that you have the rights required for a public livestream, its territories, or an archived replay. YouTube’s Livestream Terms say that creators represent and warrant they have the necessary rights to exploit live content on Google services worldwide, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers and other royalty participants.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it identifies material, it may replace the stream with a placeholder image and warn the streamer; if the material remains, the stream may be interrupted or terminated. If you have licensed third-party music, ask the rights holder to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist where needed: a license alone may not prevent an interruption when the channel is not allowlisted.

Run your own encoder
A software or hardware encoder gives you control over the output settings, but it depends on the encoder, power and network staying available. YouTube warns that connectivity disruptions can break a stream. A hardware encoder may suit operators who need dedicated unattended encoding; model choice depends on codec, resolution, budget and whether an existing computer can encode reliably. A UPS may be useful where local power cuts are a known risk, but it cannot resolve an internet outage.
