Forza Horizon 6: best starting point for open-world driving
Choose Forza Horizon 6 if you want a broad driving playground rather than a season built around circuit competition. Playground Games says it launched for Xbox Series X|S and PC on May 19, 2026, is set in Japan, and features over 550 cars. The Standard Edition was included for active Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscribers according to the launch announcement; confirm current tier terms before subscribing or downloading. Forza Motorsport: choose it for circuits
Forza Motorsport is the contrasting choice if you want to focus on race tracks and competition rather than open-world exploration. The official 2023 announcement listed Xbox Series X|S availability and described 20 rebuilt tracks with multiple layouts at launch. That is a launch figure, not a claim about the game’s current track total. F1 25: the pick for Formula 1 fans
F1 25, developed by Codemasters, launched May 30, 2025 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC, according to EA. The Microsoft Store’s Xbox racing catalog has listed it as included with EA Play, but catalog status can change; verify access in the store before counting on it.
