The difficult part is not the console: it is confirming that your country has the exact season, film, dub or subtitle track you want on a service that works on your device.
What you need instead of a PS5
Both series are distributed through ordinary streaming apps and web browsers. A PS5 is only one possible way to run those apps; it is not a requirement. Your best route depends on three checks:

- Screen: Does your television already have the Crunchyroll or Netflix app?
- Catalog: Does that service carry the particular season, arc, film and language version in your country?
- Software: Does the exact television, streaming player, browser or mobile operating system meet the app’s current requirements?
If all three answers are yes, you can start watching without buying a console. If the catalog is right but the television is too old for the app, adding a streaming player is usually simpler than replacing the television.

Streaming rights are regional. A service that carries a show in Japan, the United States or another country may not carry it where you live. Even when a title is present, one season, film, edited version or audio track can be missing. Search both shows in the service’s catalog while signed in to your local account, and open the episode or film page rather than relying on a search-engine result.

What the official One Piece listings show
The official English One Piece links hub names Crunchyroll and Netflix, and also lists Hulu and Pluto TV among viewing options. That hub is a signpost, not a worldwide promise: the linked catalog and language choices depend on territory. The detailed Japanese distribution page contains current local information and warns that start dates and times can change. It also states that Netflix distribution in Japan excludes the SPECIAL EDITED VERSION Fish-Man Island arc.
An announcement dated March 28, 2026, said the Elbaph arc would begin distribution in Japan from April 9, 2026, on 11 services: FOD, Prime Video, U-NEXT, d Anime Store, Anime Hodai, Lemino, DMM TV, ABEMA, Hulu, Netflix and Disney+. Those are Japanese-market release details, not evidence that all 11 services offer the arc in another country.
The official full-episode page advertises 1,000 episodes and weekly Thursday additions, while cautioning that schedules can change. Treat that as the page’s current program information, not a guarantee that every territory receives an episode on the same day.

The current official on-demand listing describes seasons 1 through 3 and the franchise’s films, with Netflix, Hulu and Prime Video among several Japanese-market SVOD options. The listing is specifically for Japan. Separately, Hulu’s United States Crunchyroll catalog names Jujutsu Kaisen among its selected titles. That US result cannot be used to infer availability in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia or any other market.

Because these lists are not interchangeable, do not choose a subscription solely because a friend in another country uses it. Verify the show page, season or film, and audio and subtitle options in your own account before paying.
Route 1: Use the apps already built into your smart TV
This is the lowest-effort option when your television is recent enough. Connect the TV to the internet, open its app store, install the service app, sign in, and search for both series. Netflix supports many smart-TV brands; its supported-device information changes as manufacturers update their software.
Crunchyroll’s device information lists these television families and minimum software levels:

Smart-TV setup
- Open the television’s network settings and confirm that it is online. Install any pending TV firmware update.
- Open the built-in app store and search for Crunchyroll and Netflix. If an app is absent, do not assume that sideloading it will work; the TV may be outside the supported platform list.
- Install the app, open it and sign in using the method shown on screen. A phone or computer may be offered for entering a code.
- Search for One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen separately. Check season numbering, films, episode dates and the audio/subtitle menu.
- Play a short section before subscribing to an additional service. Confirm that the picture, captions and audio behave as expected on your network.
If the app installs but playback fails, first update the TV firmware and app, restart the TV completely, and test the service on another device. This separates an account or catalog issue from a television software problem.
Route 2: Add a streaming player to a TV that lacks the apps
A small streaming player can turn an older HDMI television into an app-based viewing screen. It is useful when the catalog is available but the built-in TV software is too old, the manufacturer stopped updating it, or the desired app is missing.

A Fire TV Stick is a plausible search term when you need an inexpensive, app-capable player, but no particular model has been tested or endorsed here. Product generations differ, so read the model number, operating-system support and app availability before ordering. The same rule applies to used Roku, Apple TV and Chromecast hardware.
Streaming-player installation steps
- Check that the television has a free HDMI input and that its power adapter or USB power source meets the player’s instructions.
- Connect the player, select the matching HDMI input and complete its network setup.
- Install pending player updates before searching for apps. A newly purchased device may ship with older software.
- Open the player store and install Crunchyroll and Netflix, then sign in to each account.
- Search both titles and test one episode or film. If a title is unavailable, confirm the country associated with the account before buying another device.
Players do not bypass regional rights. They only provide a supported way to run the service app on a screen.
Route 3: Watch on a computer
For a laptop or desktop, Netflix supports viewing through netflix.com. Crunchyroll lists these minimum browser versions:

Update the browser, enable its normal media playback permissions, sign in, and search each show. A computer is often the fastest way to check a catalog because you can compare season pages, language menus and account-region settings in one screen. To watch on a television, use an HDMI cable or a supported wireless-casting feature; the service catalog remains tied to your account’s country.
Route 4: Watch on a phone or tablet
Crunchyroll lists Android 8 or newer and iOS 17 or newer for its mobile apps. Netflix supports phones and tablets as well. Install the official app from your platform’s store, update the operating system if necessary, sign in, and verify downloads, captions and audio before relying on mobile viewing away from home.
Older devices can fail in different ways: the app may not appear in the store, playback may be blocked after an update, or the device may lack the security components required for high-definition video. Do not confuse a missing app with a missing catalog; test the same account on a supported browser or television player.

There is no verified universal subscription price or plan combination for this question. Compare the recurring subscription, any required rental or purchase charge, taxes and the cost of adding a player in your country. A cheaper plan is not useful if it omits the film, season or language you want.

Check seasons, films, languages and edits
One Piece
Search for the main series and inspect the season selector rather than assuming that the newest episode is included. If you are following the Elbaph arc, check the local release schedule and the date shown in the app. The Japanese Netflix listing’s exclusion of the SPECIAL EDITED VERSION Fish-Man Island arc illustrates why two versions of a story can have different availability.
Jujutsu Kaisen
Check seasons 1, 2 and 3 individually, then look for the films as separate entries. A service can carry the television seasons without carrying every film, or can list a film under a different regional title. Confirm whether your preferred Japanese audio, dub and subtitle combinations are offered before starting a subscription.
Audio and subtitles
Open the playback language menu on an episode that you can actually play. Catalog pages sometimes show a title while a particular dub or subtitle track is absent. Language options can also differ between seasons and films.

The app is not in the TV or player store
- Check the exact model and operating-system version against the current Crunchyroll or Netflix device support page.
- Install system updates and restart the device.
- Confirm the store’s country or region setting. Changing it may affect other apps and subscriptions, so do not change it merely to chase a foreign catalog.
- If the platform is below the minimum, use a supported player, computer or mobile device instead of attempting an unofficial installation.
The app works, but the title is absent
- Search the title in the local account, not a different country’s website.
- Check whether you are looking for a season, film or edited edition with a different listing.
- Review the service’s language and maturity filters.
- Compare the official local listing for the title with the service’s own catalog page. A broad franchise links page does not prove that every listed service has every episode.
Playback buffers or fails
- Test another title on the same service to determine whether the problem is title-specific.
- Restart the app, player and network equipment.
- Install updates and close other high-bandwidth streams.
- Try the account on a current browser or phone. If it works there, the original TV or player may be unsupported or out of date.
- Contact the service’s support team with the exact device model, operating-system version and error message.
A no-PS5 buying and setup checklist
Use this list before committing to hardware or another subscription:
- Country: Confirm the catalog in the country where the account is registered.
- Titles: Open both One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen pages and verify the exact season, arc and film.
- Language: Check Japanese audio, dubs and subtitle tracks on playable episodes.
- Device: Record the exact TV, player, phone or tablet model and operating-system version.
- App: Verify that Crunchyroll and/or Netflix appears in the official app store for that device and region.
