What “without OBS” means for a VOD rotation
YouTube still needs a live video feed. Its encoder workflow expects an encoder to send that feed using the stream URL and key; the YouTube Live API describes broadcasts and incoming streams, not file playout. So “without OBS” means another source must do the playout: a cloud service, another encoder, or a custom integration. YouTube’s webcam instructions cover a webcam, microphone, and screen sharing—not an unattended queue of prerecorded videos. A cloud playlist service is the most direct fit if the goal is to rotate existing gaming VODs rather than capture new gameplay. It can sequence uploaded or selected files and transmit the resulting program to YouTube. A finite playlist for a scheduled broadcast and a channel that loops continuously are different requirements; check that the service supports the exact mode and duration you need.

Use a cloud playlist service for a scheduled VOD broadcast
1. Check that the channel can go live
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. YouTube also states that the minimum age for livestreaming is 16. Confirm eligibility in your channel before preparing the playlist. YouTube: Get started with live streaming.
2. Decide between one scheduled playlist and an ongoing loop
OneStream Live documents sequential playback of multiple videos as one broadcast. Its help center says playlist streaming is available on Professional and Enterprise plans. Its separately described YouTube-only 24/7 mode requires Enterprise and allows a scheduled run of up to 30 days. 3. Build and schedule the playlist

In OneStream Live, choose videos from your device, OneStream storage, or supported cloud storage, then arrange them in the intended playback order.

Select YouTube as the destination and complete the broadcast setup, including the title and schedule. Review the preview and playlist order before scheduling.

If you need a continuous run, confirm that the account has the separate YouTube 24/7 feature and that the scheduled duration fits its 30-day maximum. Plan how you will restart or reschedule the run when it ends.

OneStream’s help documentation says its advanced scheduling options include YouTube DVR and channel-supported monetization, and that advanced scheduling is available on Standard or higher. Its documented playlist plans and 24/7 plan do not map neatly to all those options; check the exact combination in your account before paying. Review eligibility, rights, and replay expectations
Channel and content checks

Use only footage and audio you have the right to broadcast. A game VOD may contain licensed music, other creators’ content, or material governed by publisher terms; having a recording does not by itself establish streaming rights.

Check YouTube’s current live-stream eligibility and restrictions before scheduling. A service can transmit the playlist, but it cannot make a channel eligible or grant rights to the content.

For monetized channels, assess the VODs against YouTube’s monetization policies, including its rules about reused content. Permission to use material and eligibility for monetization are separate questions.
Do not assume a long loop becomes one replay
YouTube’s cited webcam and encoder guides say streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. They do not establish the archive outcome for longer streams, so do not promise that a long continuous run will remain available as a single replay. If replay retention matters, use a shorter scheduled broadcast or verify the current YouTube archive behavior for your setup before relying on it. Cloud services trade local setup and an always-on computer for a vendor plan and its limits. Before choosing one, confirm the specific playlist or 24/7 tier, the maximum scheduled duration, storage or retention rules, destination support, and whether you can manage the video source locally. A playlist works, but continuous streaming is unavailable: check whether the provider treats 24/7 streaming as a separate feature and whether your plan includes it. For OneStream Live, its documentation assigns YouTube 24/7 to Enterprise.

A replay is missing or incomplete: check whether the stream exceeded 12 hours. YouTube’s cited guidance only confirms automatic archives for streams under 12 hours.

The video is blocked, claimed, or unsuitable for monetization: review rights for every video and audio track, then check YouTube’s applicable copyright and monetization policies. A playlist service does not change those rules.
