You do not need a paid service just to repeat a video. On a computer, right-click the video and select Loop; in the YouTube mobile app, open Settings → Additional settings → Loop video. On a TV or console, use the player’s Repeat control and check that it is set to repeat the current video.
Which option should you use?

Choose based on your device, whether ads or screen-off playback matter to you, whether you want to repeat a whole video, playlist, or selected section, and what is available where you live.

How to turn on YouTube Loop or Repeat
On a computer
- Open the meditation video on YouTube and start playback.
- Right-click inside the video player.
- Select Loop. The current video will repeat.
On a phone or tablet
- Open the video in the YouTube app and start playback.
- Open the video’s Settings.
- Choose Additional settings, then Loop video.
On a TV or gaming console
- Start the video and use the remote or controller to move to the player controls.
- Select Repeat. If the control cycles through options, continue until it indicates that the currently playing video will repeat.
- If you do not see the control, check the video’s Settings menu.
YouTube’s help instructions document repeat controls for computer, mobile, TV, and gaming-console device groups. The exact control may look different depending on the device and app.
What an all-day loop does—and does not—guarantee
Turning on Repeat tells YouTube to replay the video; it does not guarantee that playback will continue uninterrupted all day on every device. The device still needs power and a working network connection, and playback can be affected by local settings or casting behavior.

- Review sleep timers, screen-saver settings, battery-saving modes, and app restrictions that could pause playback or put the device to sleep.
- If you are casting, check whether the casting device or receiving display is ending playback or sleeping.
These are practical checks, not a promise of a particular session length from YouTube.
When a paid plan or third-party looper makes sense
YouTube Premium
Consider Premium if you also want its other benefits, particularly ad-free viewing or background play in the YouTube mobile app where available. YouTube says Premium is its option for ad-free viewing across all videos, including music content, as well as YouTube Music Premium. The repeat control itself does not require Premium.

YouTube Premium Lite
YouTube announced on February 24, 2026 that Premium Lite was adding background play and downloads for most videos, with rollout in markets where Lite is available. That announcement does not establish eligibility for every country or account, and the feature distinction matters: YouTube identifies Premium as the option for all videos, including music content, and YouTube Music Premium. Check the current local plan details before subscribing.

Third-party browser looping
VideoOnRepeat says it supports full-video looping, A-B section loops, and queues in modern browsers without signup. That may suit someone who specifically needs to repeat only a segment, but it is a separate third-party service rather than a YouTube control. Review its current terms and privacy information before using it.
