Yes, you can get a Hawaii IP address with a VPN, but the official location information reviewed confirms three providers—not five—with a Hawaii or Honolulu endpoint: NordVPN, ExpressVPN, and Private Internet Access (PIA). ExpressVPN identifies its Honolulu location as virtual; the reviewed pages do not establish whether NordVPN’s or PIA’s Hawaii endpoint uses hardware physically on the islands. Check the provider’s live app before subscribing, since endpoint availability can vary by account or device.
Which VPNs list a Hawaii or Honolulu endpoint?
This is a shortlist of confirmed locations, not a five-provider ranking. The providers’ pages establish that they list Hawaii or Honolulu endpoints; they do not provide comparable independent tests of speed, privacy effectiveness, or access to streaming services.

| Provider | Listed endpoint | Physical or virtual disclosure | What the cited information establishes |
|---|---|---|---|
| NordVPN | Hawaii; its general location list includes Honolulu | Not established for the Hawaii endpoint in the cited pages | NordVPN says to choose a Hawaii city in the app. Its Hawaii page advertises “30+ Hawaii VPN servers”; that is the provider’s claim, not an independently counted total. | ExpressVPN | USA – Honolulu | Listed as virtual | ExpressVPN’s location list confirms the endpoint and virtual classification; it does not establish Hawaii-specific speed or streaming performance. ExpressVPN server locations |
| Private Internet Access (PIA) | US Honolulu | Not established for this endpoint in the cited pages | PIA’s Hawaii page describes connecting to its Honolulu server. Its support location list includes US Honolulu and says the app is the most current source for availability on a particular account or device. PIA Hawaii page; PIA available server locations |
Other providers’ official location material reviewed did not establish a Hawaii or Honolulu endpoint for Proton VPN, Surfshark, or CyberGhost. That absence is not proof that they never offer one; consult each provider’s current location list or app. Proton VPN server list; Surfshark server locations; CyberGhost server locations.

Which one should you choose?
Choose NordVPN if you want a Hawaii city in the app
NordVPN says users can select a city in Hawaii from its app’s location list. Its page also advertises more than 30 Hawaii servers, unlimited bandwidth, specialty options, and a 30-day money-back guarantee. These are NordVPN’s own current page claims, not independently verified performance or service comparisons. NordVPN’s Hawaii page

Choose ExpressVPN if virtual-location disclosure matters
ExpressVPN’s server list marks USA – Honolulu as a virtual location. This is the clearest physical-versus-virtual disclosure among the three endpoint listings in the cited material. The page also lists VPN protocols, but it does not show which protocol or performance would be best for a particular connection. ExpressVPN server locations
Choose PIA if its app shows Honolulu for your account
PIA’s support documentation lists US Honolulu and points readers to the app’s VPN Server section for the most current locations available to a given account or device. Its Hawaii product page describes using the Honolulu server to appear to browse from Hawaii; that is a provider description, not a test of third-party sites. PIA location support page

How to get a Hawaii IP address
- Confirm the location before paying. Open the provider’s current server list or app and look for Hawaii, Honolulu, or US Honolulu. For PIA, check the app’s VPN Server section; the support page identifies it as the current list for a specific account or device.
- Install the provider’s app and sign in. Use the official app for your device and account.
- Choose the Hawaii endpoint. Select a Hawaii city or Honolulu location, then connect. NordVPN specifically describes selecting a city in Hawaii; ExpressVPN lists USA – Honolulu; PIA lists US Honolulu.
- Check the apparent location. After the app reports a connection, use an IP-location lookup service if you need to confirm what location an external service associates with your public IP. Geolocation databases can differ, so one lookup is not proof that every website will identify the address as Hawaiian.
- Disconnect when finished. Return to the provider’s app and disconnect, or select another location if you need a different IP region.
Does a Hawaii VPN server have to be physically in Hawaii?
No. A virtual VPN location can assign an IP address associated with a selected place while the underlying server hardware is elsewhere. Surfshark’s support article explains this general distinction. Surfshark: What are virtual locations?
ExpressVPN explicitly marks its Honolulu endpoint as virtual. The cited NordVPN and PIA pages establish Hawaii or Honolulu endpoint listings but do not state whether those particular endpoints are physically hosted in Hawaii. Do not infer a physical server location from the displayed city alone.

- 【VPN CASCADING AT EASE】Surpassing the mediocre performance of most VPN routers for home usage, the Beryl AX is capable of hosting a VPN server and VPN client at the same time within the same device, enabling users to remote access local network resources like Wi-Fi printers or local web servers, and accessing the public internet as a VPN client simultaneously.
What a Hawaii IP address can—and cannot—guarantee
A VPN routes your connection through its selected endpoint, so websites may see the VPN’s IP address rather than your usual public IP. That does not guarantee that a bank, streaming service, or any other site will accept the connection or treat it as local. The provider pages cited here do not test third-party services, and they do not establish streaming success, local pricing, or avoidance of fraud checks. A website may use other location signals or apply its own VPN restrictions.
Likewise, endpoint listings are not comparative proof of speed, latency, or privacy protection. No independent Hawaii-specific connection tests are established by these sources, so choose based on the endpoint disclosure and availability you can verify in the app—not an unsupported claim that one provider is fastest or best for streaming.
