For a straightforward four-camera presentation, the ATEM Mini Pro is one option to examine; for an all-in-one portable setup, compare the YoloBox models. Neither is a universal winner: count your sources, check format compatibility and outputs, and decide whether you need isolated recordings before choosing.
Start with the job your switcher needs to do
A live-streaming switcher combines multiple video sources and lets you choose what viewers see. But products called switchers can sit in very different places in a production setup. Some feed a computer, which handles the streaming software and broadcast connection. Others combine switching with monitoring and hardware encoding so they can stream directly. Some offer both kinds of workflow.

Blackmagic Design describes its ATEM Mini family as switching four or eight HDMI sources, depending on the model, with two dedicated audio sources; its output can appear to video software as a regular USB webcam. YoloLiv, by contrast, presents the YoloBox Pro as a combined encoder, switcher, recorder and monitor. These are manufacturer-described capabilities, not independent comparative test results.

- Computer-based: Choose this route if you want to use video software on a computer. Check how the switcher connects to that software and whether its USB webcam output suits your setup.
- Direct hardware streaming: Choose an integrated encoder if you want the device itself to handle switching and streaming. Confirm that the exact model supports the destination and network connection you plan to use.
- Both: Some products advertise more than one workflow. Verify the precise model and operating mode; do not assume every product in a family has the same outputs or streaming features.
Compare the leading options by source count and workflow
The table summarizes capabilities stated by the manufacturers. Counts and advertised formats are not a guarantee that a particular camera will work: confirm its output resolution and frame rate against the exact switcher model and your intended setup.

How to choose for a 2–3 HDMI-source presentation
A presentation with two or three HDMI sources is a useful example, but the source count alone does not establish that any particular model is a better fit for Zoom or another video-conferencing app. Decide how you want the switcher to connect to your presentation workflow, then check the details below.

- Count sources used at the same time. Include cameras, a laptop showing slides and any other HDMI device that needs to be switched live. Do not count sources you will never connect simultaneously.
- Check the physical inputs. Confirm that the exact model has enough HDMI inputs. A stated total source capacity may include NDI or other non-HDMI sources, so distinguish those from physical connectors.
- Match the video formats. Check each camera or computer’s HDMI output resolution and frame rate, and confirm that the switcher accepts them. Then check the formats supported by the monitor and the rest of the streaming workflow.
- Choose where encoding happens. For computer software, confirm USB webcam output and software compatibility. For computer-free operation, confirm direct streaming on the exact model and the required network connection.
- Check how you will monitor and route video. Decide whether you need multiview, a separate program output, or other output routing. Features differ across models; Blackmagic’s setup guide identifies multiview on Pro and Extreme models.
- Plan audio and recording. Check how audio enters and is controlled, and whether the switcher records the program only or separate source feeds.
- Price the complete setup. Include cables, any external display or monitoring, a computer if your workflow requires one, network access and audio gear—not just the switcher.
Do you need ISO recording?
ISO recording matters if you want to edit individual camera feeds after the live production, rather than only keeping a recording of the switched program. The term is not enough to establish that a device records the number of sources, resolution or audio you need.

Blackmagic says the Pro ISO adds five record streams for clean input feeds and saves a DaVinci project for editing. Confirm the supported media and exact recording behavior on the model documentation before relying on it for a production.

YoloBox Extreme
YoloLiv advertises ISO recording with four cameras at 4K30 on the Extreme. That is a different stated capability from recording all eight inputs on the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2. Check isolated-source count, resolution, media requirements and audio handling against your post-production needs.
Outputs, monitoring and connectivity to verify
- Multiview: Useful for seeing multiple sources while choosing a program feed, but verify that it is present on the exact model and how it is output. Blackmagic’s guide notes it on Pro and Extreme models; YoloLiv lists multiview among the Extreme’s features.
- Program and other HDMI outputs: Count and routing vary. YoloLiv lists two HDMI outputs for the YoloBox Extreme and advertises output up to 4K30. Confirm what each output can carry and whether that matches your monitor or destination.
- Network connection: YoloLiv’s overview describes Ethernet, Wi-Fi or 4G connectivity across its product information. Verify which connections are available on your chosen model and the network conditions your event requires.
- Audio: Blackmagic lists two dedicated audio sources for the ATEM Mini family. Compare that with your microphone, mixer and playback needs, and confirm controls on the exact device.
Budget for the whole production, not just the switcher
The price examples below are the amounts displayed on Blackmagic Design’s UK specifications page when accessed; the page’s regional prices can change. Check local pricing, stock, warranty, firmware support and compatible accessories before purchase. The cited YoloLiv material does not state prices, so a direct price comparison cannot be made from those listings.
