Best TVs for Wall Mounting in 2026: Top Picks and Fit Guide

Short answer: TechRadar’s guide updated June 9, 2026 names Samsung’s QN900F its overall wall-mount TV pick for buyers who want a premium, large-screen 8K television and accept a high price, no Dolby Vision, and very little native 8K programming. Choose Samsung The Frame when the screen must look like artwork while off, or LG’s 55-inch 2026 OLED evo AI G6 when a flush gallery-style OLED and supplied wall mount matter most. The right choice still depends on your room lighting, viewing distance, devices, sound plan, and the exact wall and bracket—not on screen size alone.

At a glance: which wall-mounted TV fits your priorities?

Best for Model or range What the published information establishes Main compromises
Premium large-screen picture Samsung QN900F 2025 series in 65-, 75- and 85-inch sizes; 8K QLED with mini-LED, Tizen, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG. TechRadar calls it the overall pick in its June 9, 2026 guide. Expensive, not the slimmest design, no Dolby Vision, and native 8K content remains scarce.
Art-display appearance Samsung The Frame (2026 standard model) Samsung describes a Slim Fit wall mount and a flush, picture-frame-style installation. The range is designed to display artwork when not showing television. Appearance and art features take priority; compare its picture performance, reflections and available sizes with your viewing needs.
Flush OLED and gaming LG OLED evo AI G6, 55-inch US model 2026 OLED with a supplied flush wall mount, gallery design, reflection-minimizing technology and gaming features. “Up to 3.9x brighter” is LG’s manufacturer claim, not an independently measured comparison. Availability and specifications can vary by region.

Samsung also describes a Frame Pro with a Neo QLED 4K screen and wireless transmission to a separate Wireless One Connect Box. Treat that as a different connection approach from the standard Frame and check exactly what is included in the version sold where you live.

What makes a television good for wall mounting?

A wall-friendly television is more than a thin panel. The useful combination is a screen size and resolution suited to your seating distance, enough brightness for the room, controlled reflections, accessible connections, acceptable built-in sound, and a chassis and mounting pattern that your wall and bracket can safely support.

Picture and room lighting

Bright windows and lamps can make a glossy screen look worse than its specifications suggest. Compare reflection handling as well as contrast, color accuracy and HDR support. The QN900F is specifically praised in TechRadar’s guide for picture quality and reflection handling, but that assessment belongs to that guide and date; it is not a new hands-on test for this article.

  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Resolution should match what you watch. An 8K panel can provide a very detailed image from close seating and upscale lower-resolution material, yet the QN900F’s guide entry notes that native 8K content is still scarce. A 4K model may therefore deliver better value if most of your viewing is 4K streaming, broadcast television, discs or games.

How the set looks when switched off

A wall-mounted television occupies a large rectangle even when idle. The standard 2026 Frame is intended to resemble a picture frame and includes Samsung’s Slim Fit mount, while LG markets the G6 as a flush-fit gallery design. These appearance claims come from the manufacturers. Look at the bezel, rear housing, power cable and any soundbar before deciding that a “flush” television will disappear in your room.

Connections and sound

Wall placement can hide side and rear ports. Identify where HDMI, antenna, Ethernet, USB and optical connections sit, then decide whether cables can be routed through the wall or in a surface raceway. A separate connection box, as used by the Frame Pro’s Wireless One Connect arrangement, can make the panel area cleaner but adds another device, power requirement and placement decision.

Thin televisions have limited cabinet volume for speakers. The QN900F guide praises its sound, but any wall installation should be planned with your room and listening position in mind. If you will use a soundbar or receiver, reserve clearance and verify that its cable and mounting hardware do not block the television’s ventilation or lift the screen above your preferred height.

Samsung QN900F: the premium 8K choice

TechRadar’s June 2026 shortlist names the Samsung QN900F its overall wall-mount TV pick. The series launched for 2025 and is offered in 65-, 75- and 85-inch sizes. Its published core specification is an 8K QLED display using mini-LED backlighting, Samsung’s Tizen smart-TV platform, and HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG support.

Why it suits a wall installation

  • The large 65- to 85-inch range suits viewers building a cinema-like focal point.
  • Mini-LED backlighting and the guide’s positive assessment of reflection handling are useful in rooms where windows or lamps face the screen.
  • The guide also credits the set with strong picture quality and sound, reducing the need for immediate external equipment.

Trade-offs to accept

  • There is no Dolby Vision support in the cited specification. If your streaming devices or disc collection prioritize Dolby Vision, check how they handle HDR10 or HDR10+ instead.
  • Native 8K video remains uncommon, so you are paying for panel resolution and processing as much as for a large library of 8K material.
  • The set is described as expensive and not the slimmest option. Measure the rear housing, bracket depth and cable bend radius rather than assuming “8K” means ultra-thin.

This is a time-sensitive editorial recommendation, not a universal ranking. Prices, stock, firmware and regional model numbers can change after the guide’s update.

Samsung The Frame and Frame Pro: when the wall is part of the décor

The 2026 standard Frame is the appearance-first option in this group. Samsung says it is designed to sit flush like a picture frame and includes a Slim Fit wall mount. Its appeal is strongest when the television remains visible in a living room, bedroom or open-plan space and you care about what the screen shows when it is not being watched.

Questions to answer before choosing The Frame

  • Will the room’s reflections make artwork look less convincing during the day?
  • Do you prefer a conventional high-contrast movie and gaming picture over an art-display experience?
  • Are replacement bezels, art content and the exact screen sizes offered in your country part of your budget?
  • Can the included mount be installed on your wall type, or will you need a different bracket?

The Frame Pro is a separate proposition. Samsung describes it as having a Neo QLED 4K screen and wireless transmission through a separate Wireless One Connect Box. Wireless video transmission does not remove the need to power the panel and the box, and it does not make every cable or wall condition irrelevant. Confirm the box’s placement, ventilation and regional contents before purchase.

LG OLED evo AI G6: a flush OLED for galleries and games

LG’s US product page lists a 55-inch 2026 OLED evo AI G6 with a supplied flush wall mount. The product is presented as a gallery-style design with reflection-minimizing technology and gaming features, making it a natural candidate for a clean, close-to-the-wall installation.

How to interpret the brightness claim

LG advertises the G6 as “up to 3.9x brighter” through its Brightness Booster Ultra feature. That wording is a manufacturer claim; it is not an independently measured comparison in the information available for this guide. Brightness also varies by picture mode, window size, content and ambient light, so use an in-store demonstration or an independent test for a direct performance comparison.

Installation implications

A supplied flush mount can simplify the hardware decision, but it does not guarantee that your wall is suitable. Check the included bracket’s instructions, the television’s weight, required fasteners and clearance for power and signal cables. The G6’s 55-inch listing is a US product-page specification; other sizes or countries may use different model names, mounts or accessories.

Compare the features that actually affect your decision

Screen size and seating distance

Start by measuring the viewing distance and the space between doors, shelves and windows. A larger screen is not automatically better if you sit close enough to see processing artifacts or if the wall cannot safely carry the load. Mark the proposed screen outline with painter’s tape for a day, then check sightlines from every seat.

HDR formats and source devices

List the formats supported by your streaming boxes, game consoles, disc player and preferred services. The QN900F information names HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG and specifically notes the absence of Dolby Vision. Do not infer support for a format merely from the word “HDR” on a box.

Gaming

For console or PC gaming, verify the model’s current HDMI specification, variable-refresh support, input-lag measurements and supported resolution at your target frame rate. The supplied information identifies gaming features for the LG G6 but does not provide measured lag or a complete port specification, so those details require the exact regional product page or independent testing.

Reflections and viewing angle

OLED, QLED and mini-LED describe display technologies, not a guaranteed reflection result. Face the blank screen toward your brightest light source and inspect it at your usual seating angles. A set that looks excellent straight on may show distracting reflections from the side.

Mount compatibility: the checks that prevent an expensive mistake

Never select a bracket from screen size alone. Match the exact television model, its VESA hole pattern, weight without and with the relevant accessories, the bracket’s rated capacity, and the wall’s construction.

Use the model, size and year

Samsung’s support guidance tells shoppers to identify the TV model, size and year before selecting a mount. Its UK compatibility chart lists the 2025 QN900F in 65-, 75- and 85-inch versions for the WMN-B50EB Slim Fit wall mount. Samsung also states that mount availability varies by country, so a UK match is not proof that the same accessory is sold or packaged in your market.

Read the VESA pattern and weight

Sony’s 2026 compatibility chart publishes model-specific hole patterns and weights. For example, the 85-inch BRAVIA 9 II K-85XR90M2 is listed at 400 × 400 mm and approximately 48.2 kg (106.2 lb) without its stand. That example shows why two 85-inch televisions can require different brackets and fasteners.

Record the VESA dimensions in millimetres, the bare-TV weight, and whether the mount’s stated capacity includes a safety margin. Include the weight of any attached soundbar only if the mounting system is designed for it. If the model page and the mount manual disagree, stop and obtain confirmation from the manufacturer.

Understand what an older universal mount specification does—and does not—prove

The Philips SQM5226/00 sheet is an older example of a fixed mount stated for 26- to 70-inch televisions, 200 × 100 through 400 × 400 mm patterns, a 35 cm arm extension and 3.9 cm wall distance. Those figures illustrate the information to compare; they do not establish current availability or compatibility with a particular modern television. A mount that reaches 400 × 400 mm may still fail on weight, screw depth, wall material or rear-port clearance.

Choose fixed, tilting or full-motion hardware

  • Fixed: Gives the smallest, cleanest wall gap and the fewest moving parts. It works best when the viewing height and screen angle are already correct.
  • Tilt: Helps reduce overhead reflections and aims a high-mounted screen toward seated eyes. Check the lowest position so the bottom edge does not collide with furniture.
  • Full motion: Allows side-to-side aiming and easier access to rear ports, but it projects farther from the wall and places greater leverage on fasteners. Verify the arm’s extension, swivel limits and weight rating.

A “universal” label describes a range of hole patterns, not universal safety. The bracket still has to meet the exact VESA pattern, load, screw requirements and wall conditions.

Installation checklist for a safe, serviceable wall TV

  1. Confirm the television and mount together. Write down the exact model suffix, screen size, year, VESA pattern and weight. Match them to the bracket manual before drilling.
  2. Inspect the wall. Determine whether it is wood stud, masonry, metal stud, or a partition with no suitable structure. Use fasteners approved for that construction; do not substitute drywall anchors for a load-bearing fixing when the instructions require studs or masonry.
  3. Find a comfortable height. Sit in the main viewing position, keep the screen centered on the seating area, and account for a soundbar, furniture and eye-level tilt. Mark the bracket’s top and bottom—not just the television’s outer edge.
  4. Plan power and signal routes. Identify the outlet, cable bend radius and any in-wall pathway. Follow local electrical rules for in-wall cables, and leave enough slack to remove the set without stressing connectors.
  5. Install the wall plate exactly as directed. Level it, use every required fixing point, and tighten to the manual’s specification. A crooked plate can make a flush television look visibly tilted.
  6. Attach the vertical rails or interface arms. Use the supplied screws or the exact size and length specified for the TV. Screws that are too long can damage internal components; screws that are too short may not hold.
  7. Lift with enough people. Large OLED and mini-LED televisions are awkward and can flex. Use a second person or professional help, support the panel as the instructions show, and lock every safety latch.
  8. Test before finishing the cable work. Power on, check HDMI sources, network, audio and remote response, then gently test the mount’s tilt or swivel. Keep ventilation openings clear.

When professional installation is sensible

Consider a qualified local installer when the television is unusually heavy, the wall is masonry or metal stud, the desired cable route is inside the wall, the mount must span an awkward stud layout, or you cannot verify the fasteners. Sony’s 48.2 kg example is already a substantial lift; larger screens and full-motion arms add risk. Ask the installer to document the bracket model, fixings, VESA match and final load path. No specific installer or nationwide program is established here, so check local licensing, insurance and availability yourself.

Common failure modes and fixes

The bracket fits the holes but the TV sits too far out

Check whether the bracket is a fixed, tilting or full-motion design and whether spacers are required for rear contours. A mount’s advertised minimum depth may exclude cable plugs, a One Connect box or a soundbar.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The screen is level but reflections are distracting

Recheck lamp and window positions, close blinds, change the mount angle if the bracket permits, or move the seating axis. Reflection-minimizing marketing does not eliminate every bright reflection.

HDMI or antenna cables cannot be inserted

Do not force a connector against the wall. Use right-angle cables only where the television and cable maker permit them, add a manufacturer-approved spacer, or choose a mount with greater clearance. Power down before changing hidden connections.

The television appears to lean forward

Verify that both vertical rails are locked and that the wall plate is flat. On a full-motion mount, uneven arm tension can change the angle; adjust it only according to the mount manual.

A promised feature is missing in your region

Model names, panel sizes, bundled mounts and smart-TV features vary between the US, UK and other markets. Check the local manufacturer page and the suffix on the carton, not a similarly named model from another country.

How to make the final choice

  1. Choose the screen size from your measured seating distance and wall space.
  2. Decide whether your priority is premium 8K detail, an art-like inactive screen, or a flush OLED with gaming features.
  3. Match HDR formats and gaming capabilities to the devices you actually own.
  4. Measure reflections and plan sound before ordering the television.
  5. Obtain the exact VESA, weight and mount match for your regional model.
  6. Confirm wall construction, fasteners, cable access and lifting requirements.

On the evidence available as of October 13, 2026, the QN900F is the clearest premium recommendation because TechRadar’s June guide explicitly selects it overall. The Frame is the deliberate décor choice, and the LG G6 is the flush OLED alternative. None is universally best: the safest purchase is the one whose picture priorities and mounting measurements are verified before the box arrives.
