The route follows the Anca and St. Mihai quest chain and involves crafting rather than buying the weapon from a vendor. The key trigger is easy to miss: after the encounter, read the note on the coffin to start Forge It Anew.

- Collect three shards. Each is tied to a separate kobold-den encounter.
- Return to Uriashi to finish crafting, then continue with the follow-up ritual route.
The route description does not establish the individual shard landmarks, so these steps explain the quest flow rather than provide a complete location-by-location map.
Where to find an earlier legendary sword
Durandal: Cursed Chasm
Durandal is an early legendary pickup, not a universal alternative ranking against the late-game St. Mihai sword. To begin its route, go to the broken bridge in northwest Briar Sloughs and start Cursed Chasm. Descend along the east side of the ravine, defeat the ghosts, and claim the sword.
