For shooting and physicality: Erling Haaland
Haaland pairs 92 SHO with 89 PHY, the highest physicality figure among the six players in the table. His 87 PAC is lower than Mbappé’s, while his 91 OVR ties for the group’s top rating.
For shooting and passing: Harry Kane

For dribbling and passing: Ousmane Dembélé

What EA’s ranking includes—and what it does not
EA says its striker table reflects launch Gold, Silver and Bronze Player Items available in Ultimate Team ’27. It excludes other item types, including Heroes, Icons and Campaign Player Items, including items released later. It also does not represent live-form updates available in other modes. Club affiliations may change after real-world transfers.
EA names Mbappé, Haaland and Kane as the highest-rated striker players, but the visible order is not simply a sort by OVR: EA says its ordering uses overall rating and then subjective factors based on real-life performance. Use the displayed attributes for direct numerical comparisons rather than treating the page’s rank order as a pure ratings leaderboard.

PlayStyles and item versions: useful filters, not verdicts
EA’s broader ratings hub includes PlayStyle labels such as Low Driven Shot+, Precision Header+, Acrobatic+, Finesse Shot+, Chip Shot+ and Power Shot+. You can use the labels as additional filters when comparing players or item versions, but a PlayStyle label alone does not establish how well a player will perform in a particular tactical setup.

Choosing a striker for Career Mode
Current OVR alone is a poor shortlist rule when you are planning a multi-season save. Compare potential and growth margin alongside age, wage, estimated market value and contract end, then weigh those fields against your save’s constraints: transfer budget, wage room, how long you can wait for development, and whether you need immediate quality.
FAFIFA’s FC 27 striker database, marked updated 20 August 2026 (update 1), displays those comparison fields and lets you sort by rating, potential, margin, youngest and cheapest. Its examples include Mbappé at 91 OVR/94 potential, Haaland at 91/93 and Dembélé at 90/92; lower-rated younger examples in its visible ranking include Hugo Ekitiké at 85/88 and João Pedro at 83/87. These are database entries, not tested outcomes from Career Mode negotiations or matches.
