Samsung’s US catalog describes Q-Series as its immersive home-theater soundbar line, with configurations spanning 3.1.2 to 11.1.4 channels. Channel count describes the system layout, not a guarantee that one model will sound better in every room. Use the package contents, placement, TV compatibility, and current price to make the final choice.

What the channel numbers and included speakers mean
In a channel label such as 7.1.2, the first number represents conventional speaker channels, the middle number indicates a subwoofer channel, and the last number refers to height channels. A larger layout can provide more speaker positions, but the number alone does not tell you whether rear speakers are included or how the system will perform in your room.

- Q990H: The listed subwoofer and rear speakers make it the clearest choice here if you want those components in the box.
- Q900H: Its listing identifies a subwoofer and 7.1.2 channels, but confirm whether rear speakers are included in the exact package offered to you.
- QS700F and Q600F: Both are 3.1.2-channel systems. The Q600F listing specifically says rear speakers are not included; the QS700F listing documents a subwoofer and convertible fit.
Before ordering, check the live Samsung or retailer listing for the full package contents. Product bundles and availability can change, and the model name alone is not a substitute for verifying included hardware.

Check TV compatibility before relying on shared features
Q-Symphony
Samsung describes Q-Symphony as synchronizing a Samsung TV and soundbar so their speakers operate together. Samsung’s US catalog says the feature requires a compatible 2020–2025 Samsung TV. Confirm compatibility for both the exact TV and soundbar; the feature should not be assumed to work with every Samsung television.
Wireless Dolby Atmos
Samsung says Wireless Dolby Atmos applies with compatible 2022–2025 Samsung TVs, and compatible source content is required. Check the TV, soundbar, and content source together before expecting a cable-free Atmos connection. A feature label on the soundbar by itself does not establish that every device in a setup supports it.

Connections and eARC
The Q600F listing specifies eARC. If you plan to connect through a TV, check that the TV and other devices support the connection format you intend to use, and confirm the soundbar’s current connection options in its product listing. Do not assume all four models have identical ports or connection behavior from the information here.

Plan for your room and speaker placement
Count the components you can accommodate before choosing a model. A system with rear speakers needs suitable positions behind or beside the seating area and, depending on the model, power access for those speakers. A bar-and-subwoofer package can be easier to place, but it will not provide the same included rear-speaker hardware as the Q990H package described by Samsung.

The QS700F is described as having a convertible fit, which makes placement flexibility a relevant reason to consider it. For any model, check the soundbar’s dimensions and the space near your TV, the subwoofer location, and any required clearances against the current product listing. Samsung lists SpaceFit Sound Pro on the Q990H and Q900H pages, but that feature should not replace checking whether the system physically fits your room.

If included rear speakers are a priority, the Q990H listing explicitly identifies them. For the Q600F, Samsung says rear speakers are not included and shows a 9250S wireless rear-speaker-kit offer. Verify that the kit is compatible with the exact Q600F model and regional listing before purchase; the offer does not establish that this accessory works with every Samsung soundbar. The information here does not establish whether a rear-speaker kit is included with the Q900H or QS700F, so check their live package details rather than assuming.

How to make the final choice
- Decide whether rear speakers must be included. If yes, the Q990H is the clearest documented match among these four. For other models, confirm box contents.
- Choose the channel layout that suits your priorities. The Q990H is 11.1.4, Q900H is 7.1.2, and QS700F and Q600F are 3.1.2; treat that as a configuration comparison, not a listening-test result.
- Check your TV and source devices. Confirm Q-Symphony and Wireless Dolby Atmos compatibility for the specific products and content you use.
- Measure placement and check connections. Account for the bar, subwoofer, and any rear speakers, then verify the needed ports and cables in the exact product specifications.
- Compare current package, price, and availability. The listings identify 2026 models Q990H and Q900H and 2025 models QS700F and Q600F; confirm that the model and bundle are currently sold in your region.
What Samsung’s market-share claim does—and does not—tell you
Samsung’s US catalog says the company was the No. 1 selling soundbar brand for 11 years, attributing the claim to Futuresource Consulting’s worldwide soundbar market-share data by manufacturer, measured by annual units and value. This is a market-share claim, not independent evidence that a specific Samsung model has better sound quality than another brand or system.
