Android Authority reports that the Pixel 10a uses a Tensor G4 chip, has 8GB of RAM and is covered by a seven-year update policy. Treat that as source-reported policy context, and check the support terms for the specific regional model you are buying. These comparisons establish a feature-based choice, not a controlled camera test of both phones.
Nothing Phone 4a Pro: choose it for optical zoom and design
The Nothing Phone 4a Pro is the shortlist’s zoom-focused option: Android Authority describes a 3.5x optical zoom camera, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip and cleaner software. Its distinctive design may also appeal if you want a phone that looks different from Samsung’s A-series models.

Tom’s Guide reports that the 4a Pro lasted more than 18 hours in its battery test. That result belongs to Tom’s Guide’s test conditions; it is not a runtime guarantee for every user. The same guide identifies a slower processor than the Pixel 10a and the absence of a water-resistance rating as drawbacks. Weigh those against the zoom camera and display rather than assuming the phone is an across-the-board upgrade.

Moto G Stylus (2026): choose it for handwritten notes
The Moto G Stylus (2026) makes sense if you will actually use its active stylus for notes or other pen input. Android Authority also describes 68W charging. In the same comparison, the Galaxy A37 is favored for a newer processor and better software-update policy, so the Motorola’s case is about stylus-driven productivity rather than a general win over Samsung.

Availability and stylus functions can differ by market or model. Confirm that the exact version sold where you live includes the features you want before choosing it.
Galaxy A36 5G: consider the previous generation at a lower price
Android Central considers the A36 practically similar to the A37 and potentially good value when it costs less. That judgment is useful only if the price gap in your market is meaningful and the A36’s remaining software support meets your needs. Compare current local prices and support terms rather than assuming an older model is automatically the better deal.

Galaxy A57 5G: a step up, not automatically better value
Samsung announced the A37 and A57 together in 2026. Its U.S. announcement set starting prices of $449.99 for the A37 and $549.99 for the A57. The $100 launch-price difference is a dated U.S. comparison; it does not show what either phone currently costs in your market. Consider the A57 only if its extra capabilities are valuable to you and its current price justifies the step up.
What Samsung promises for Galaxy A37 software support
Samsung’s 2026 announcement says the A37 and A57 will receive up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates. Those are the manufacturer’s stated maximums. Check the terms for your region and model, and consider the support remaining on any older phone you are comparing.

How to make the final choice
- Set your real budget. Compare current local prices after discounts, not just announced U.S. starting prices.
- Choose the feature you will use most. Start with size and wireless charging, optical zoom, a stylus, or the savings from buying a discounted previous-generation phone.
- Check the support horizon. Compare the published support terms for the exact regional models, particularly when considering the A36.
- Verify the specific model. Confirm storage, carrier compatibility, warranty coverage and availability where you plan to buy.
Samsung said U.S. availability for the A37 began April 9, 2026, and listed Amazon.com as a U.S. sales channel for the Awesome White version. That announcement does not establish current stock or availability in other markets.
