There is no single real estate crowdfunding platform that is best for every everyday investor. CNBC Select’s October 2026 comparison characterizes Fundrise as a low-minimum option, RealtyMogul as an option for asset diversity, and Arrived Homes as a route to residential rental investment. Those are useful starting points—not verified rankings of current offers. Compare the specific investment’s eligibility rules, structure, fees, and liquidity before committing money.

Which real estate crowdfunding platforms are worth comparing?

CNBC Select’s October 2026 comparison assigns three different descriptions to named platforms. Its labels do not establish that a platform currently offers a particular investment on those terms or that one platform will suit every investor.

Platform Comparison description What to verify in the specific offer
Fundrise CNBC Select characterizes it as a low-minimum option and its search excerpt mentions a $10 threshold. CNBC Select, October 2026 comparison Whether the $10 threshold applies to an available investment now; eligibility, structure, fees, and redemption terms.
RealtyMogul CNBC Select characterizes it as an option for asset diversity. CNBC Select, October 2026 comparison Which products are open, who may invest, and the applicable minimum, fees, investment structure, and liquidity limits.
Arrived Homes CNBC Select characterizes it as an option for residential rental investment. CNBC Select, October 2026 comparison Property-specific terms, charges, stated holding period, and whether and when an investment can be sold or redeemed.
CrowdStreet and other platforms A Benzinga comparison uses eligibility, minimum investment, primary asset type, fee range, and liquidity as comparison categories. These descriptions come from secondary comparisons, not independent evaluations of investment performance. The available information does not establish current platform-by-platform fees, redemption rules, or which products are open. Treat any platform label as a lead for further comparison, not a promise about a specific investment.

How to compare an investment before signing up

Real estate crowdfunding can mean different things across platforms and offerings. Compare the investment itself—not just the brand or its headline minimum.

Minimum investment and eligibility

Check the minimum subscription for the particular offer and whether you meet its eligibility rules. Some investments may be limited to accredited investors, while others may have different requirements. A platform-level description does not confirm that you can access every product it lists. The $10 figure appears in CNBC Select’s October 2026 search excerpt; it should not be treated as a universal or verified current minimum for Fundrise or any other offer.

What you actually own

Identify whether your money buys an interest in a pooled fund or REIT, or exposure tied to an individual property. A pooled vehicle and a single-property investment are different structures: the documents should explain what the investment holds, how income and expenses are handled, and what rights investors receive.

Asset focus and diversification

Look at the underlying properties, property types, locations, and number of investments. A platform described as offering “asset diversity” does not by itself guarantee that a particular product is diversified. A single-property investment is not the same exposure as a fund holding multiple properties.

Fees and other costs

Read the offer documents for investor-facing fees as well as costs charged to the fund, property, or operating entity. The available comparisons identify fees as an important category, but do not establish current, comparable fee figures for these platforms. Ask how each charge is calculated and whether it can reduce distributions or proceeds.

Liquidity and holding period

Private real estate investments may be difficult to sell quickly. Review any stated investment term, redemption rights, transfer restrictions, and conditions or limits on withdrawals. A platform’s general description is not a substitute for the current offering’s rules; a secondary overview also flags illiquidity as a material consideration. Benzinga platform comparison

Risk and reporting

Real estate investments can lose value, and projected or historical returns are not guarantees of future results. Review how the offer describes risks, valuation, distributions, and investor reporting. No platform-specific return figure is established by the comparisons cited here, so past or expected performance should not be assumed from a platform label.

A practical way to choose

  1. Start with the offer documents. Confirm that the specific investment is currently available and read its subscription materials, rather than relying on a general comparison or platform homepage.
  2. Check access. Match the minimum and eligibility requirements to your circumstances.
  3. Understand the structure. Determine whether the investment is pooled or tied to a particular property, and what assets it holds.
  4. Compare costs and exit terms. Find all disclosed fees, the stated term, and the conditions for redemption or transfer.
  5. Assess the risk for yourself. Consider whether you can tolerate a possible loss and having money committed without a reliable quick exit.

If those terms are not clear in the current documents, do not assume that a low minimum or a favorable category label fills the gap.
