There is no developer-certified “best” PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS preset for every PC. The reliable approach is to tune a small group of settings in order: make targets readable, stabilize frame delivery, then adjust controls until your aim is repeatable. Use the steps below as a controlled starting process rather than copying a fixed list of numbers.
Start with the settings that affect what you can see
Visibility and performance are related but not identical. A sharper image can cost rendering time, while a faster frame rate does not automatically make distant targets easier to identify. Change one category at a time and keep notes so you can tell which change helped.

Prepare a clean PC baseline
- Launch PUBG and open Settings > Graphics. Record your current values, display resolution and whether the game is using an upscaler.
- Play a repeatable short routine—such as several minutes of practice-range tracking and a few live drops—without changing controls. Note visual distractions, hitching and aiming errors.
- Close overlays and background tasks that you do not need for the test. Do not change several graphics groups at once; otherwise you cannot identify the cause of an improvement or problem.
- After each change, restart the game if the menu requests it and repeat the same routine. Keep the setting only if it improves readability or frame consistency without introducing a new problem.
This process matters because hardware, resolution, drivers and personal tolerance for blur differ. An exact value that feels excellent on one system can be a poor choice on another.

Screen scale controls sharpness
Screen scale changes the internal rendering resolution used to produce the final image. PUBG’s graphics definitions state that a low screen scale can make objects appear blurry, while a higher scale generally preserves more detail at a greater rendering cost. If distant players look soft, raise screen scale before changing aim settings. If your frame rate becomes unstable, lower it in the smallest step that restores consistent performance rather than accepting severe blur. Anti-aliasing and the new upscaling options
Update 43.1 added NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 and AMD FSR 4.1 on PC. The options appear under Settings > Graphics > Advanced only when Anti-Aliasing is set to Medium, High or Ultra. Which upscaler appears depends on your graphics card and system. PUBG says you can choose quality manually or allow automatic selection for your screen resolution. Read the exact availability and feature description in the patch notes: PUBG Update 43.1.
Use an upscaler when native rendering is too demanding, then compare its quality modes at the same resolution. Inspect thin edges, distant movement and foliage in the same scene. A mode that raises FPS but creates shimmering or smeared silhouettes is not an improvement for visibility. If no DLSS or FSR option is present, do not assume the installation is broken; hardware and system compatibility control whether the menu exposes it.
View distance affects distant detail
View distance determines how clearly far-away objects are represented. PUBG’s support definition treats it separately from screen scale: screen scale changes overall sharpness, while view distance concerns distant visibility. Increase view distance when distant terrain or structures fail to appear clearly, then check whether the added rendering work causes frame-time spikes. If close-range fights are smooth but long sightlines are unstable, test view distance independently instead of lowering every quality setting.

Motion blur is an image effect, not extra detail
Motion blur creates an afterimage effect as objects move. That can make rapid camera turns and target transitions harder to read, especially when you are trying to track a moving opponent. Disable it if you want the clearest unblurred view; leave it enabled only if you deliberately prefer the cinematic effect and it does not interfere with recognition.
Vertical synchronization trades tearing for latency and stability
Vertical synchronization (V-Sync) forces the game’s frames to synchronize with the display. PUBG Support notes that it can cause frame drops on lower-performance machines. Compare it with V-Sync disabled and enabled in the same repeatable scene. Keep the option that gives you the steadier, more predictable response on your monitor; do not enable it merely because another player lists it as a “best” value.
Performance: prioritize consistent frames over a high menu number
Test DirectX 11 Enhanced
PUBG Update 25.2 describes DirectX 11 Enhanced as “an option optimized for CPU performance, enhanced to support multi-threading during rendering.” The developer says it may increase FPS in some cases and offers stability similar to regular DX11, but it does not promise a gain on every PC. It became the default on fresh installations; an older installation may require manual selection in the graphics API setting. Read the official explanation here: PUBG Update 25.2.

- Record your current API and run your baseline routine.
- Select DirectX 11 Enhanced, restart if prompted, and repeat the same routine.
- Compare hitching during drops, driving and combat—not only the highest FPS you see.
- Keep Enhanced only if your own system is at least as stable and responsive. Revert to the previous API if you encounter crashes, visual errors or worse frame consistency.
Choose an upscaler by image quality and frame consistency
DLSS 4.5 and FSR 4.1 are supported PC upscalers in Update 43.1, but the available choice is hardware-dependent. Start with the highest quality mode that keeps combat scenes stable, then test a lower-load mode only if you need additional headroom. Compare the same building edges, foliage and moving players after every change. Do not describe one mode as universally fastest or clearest; PUBG’s official notes establish support and selection behavior, not a single benchmark result.

When frame delivery is unstable, lower the settings that add visual effects before sacrificing the screen scale that keeps targets legible. Change one group, repeat your test route and watch for improvements during the moments that previously stuttered. If a lower setting makes the scene harder to parse but does not improve combat smoothness, restore it and test a different option. This avoids the common mistake of turning everything to low without knowing which adjustment solved the problem.
A practical low-end-PC workflow
“Low-end” is relative to your resolution, refresh rate and current PUBG build, so use behavior rather than a hardware label to identify the problem. If the game repeatedly dips or hitches during busy scenes, use this order:

- Keep motion blur off if afterimages obscure targets.
- Test DirectX 11 Enhanced against your current API.
- If compatible, enable the DLSS or FSR option shown under Graphics > Advanced, then select the clearest mode that restores consistent frames.
- Lower effects that do not improve target recognition before making a large cut to screen scale.
- If screen scale must be reduced, lower it gradually and stop when targets become unacceptably soft.
- Recheck view distance after the performance change; distant readability may need its own compromise.
Do not add launch commands or overclocking as a first response. PUBG Support’s performance guide recommends removing launch options, verifying game files, updating Windows and graphics drivers, and restarting the PC and router when troubleshooting. Higher-performance PCs: spend headroom where it improves recognition
If your system already holds stable frames in combat, use the extra rendering budget for clarity rather than blindly maximizing every slider. Raise screen scale until additional sharpness no longer helps you identify distant movement, then evaluate view distance and anti-aliasing. If your GPU supports DLSS 4.5 or FSR 4.1, compare native rendering with the upscaler at equivalent visual targets. Retain the option that keeps edges readable and frame delivery even; a higher-quality label is not automatically better for your display or eyesight.
Even a fast PC can suffer from CPU-side stalls, driver issues or background software. If the game hitches after a patch, follow the official verification, update and restart steps before blaming one graphics slider.

Aim and control settings: build repeatability, not a copied number
Tune sensitivity in a fixed sequence
The official material reviewed for this guide does not publish a universal mouse, ADS or scope sensitivity. Treat another player’s values as a reference for experimentation, not as a certified solution. Change one sensitivity category at a time:
- Choose a comfortable general mouse sensitivity and make large turns possible without lifting the mouse constantly.
- Adjust ADS sensitivity so a controlled correction feels predictable rather than excessively fast.
- Test each scope category separately. A value that feels comfortable for a close optic may be unsuitable for a high magnification scope.
- Use the same drills—short tracking, target switching and recoil correction—after every change.
- Keep the value that produces repeatable corrections across several sessions, not the one that feels impressive for a single match.
Keep your mouse grip, DPI and in-game sensitivity stable while evaluating a change. Altering all three at once prevents you from learning what your muscle memory is adapting to.
Separate aim comfort from graphics clarity
Graphics settings cannot compensate for a sensitivity that you cannot repeat, and a perfect sensitivity cannot rescue a blurred or stuttering image. Finish the visibility and frame-consistency pass first, then tune controls under those stable conditions. If you later change resolution, screen scale or upscaling mode significantly, retest your aim because perceived target motion may change even when the sensitivity value has not.
Can you copy another player’s PUBG settings?
Update 42.3 added PC settings sharing for audio, controls, key bindings and gameplay. Graphics settings are deliberately excluded because they depend on the receiving computer’s hardware. Shared codes also expire after 90 days. Use a code as a starting point for control layout or audio, then adjust sensitivity and bindings to your hand and equipment; it is not a complete graphics preset. Details are in PUBG Update 42.3.
Diagnose problems before replacing hardware
- Blurry image: check screen scale first, then compare anti-aliasing and any available upscaler. Confirm that you did not select a low-quality reconstruction mode unintentionally.
- Clear image but unstable combat: test DirectX 11 Enhanced, then reduce the most visually expensive effects one at a time. Compare frame consistency during fights, not just the lobby.
- Afterimages during turns: disable motion blur and retest target tracking.
- Unexpected frame drops with synchronization enabled: compare V-Sync states; PUBG Support specifically notes possible drops on lower-performance machines.
- Crashes after tweaking: remove launch options, verify files, update Windows and the graphics driver, restart the PC and router, and remove any overclock outside manufacturer recommendations, following PUBG’s troubleshooting guidance.
- Missing DLSS or FSR: confirm that Anti-Aliasing is Medium, High or Ultra and that your hardware supports the relevant feature. Update 43.1 does not make both choices available on every system.
PC and console settings are not interchangeable
This guide’s workflow is for the PC graphics menu. Console versions have separate performance modes. Update 42.2 documents Resolution Priority and Framerate Priority on Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 5/5 Pro. Framerate Priority supports up to 120 FPS only on compatible consoles connected to displays supporting at least 120 Hz, and availability can depend on the display environment. Those console modes should not be used as evidence that PC has the same choices: PUBG Update 42.2.
Use this repeatable tuning checklist
- Save your current settings and establish a repeatable practice and match routine.
- Fix obvious visibility problems: screen scale, motion blur and distant-detail readability.
- Test the rendering API, including DirectX 11 Enhanced, and keep the more stable result on your own PC.
- If available, test DLSS 4.5 or FSR 4.1 under Graphics > Advanced with Anti-Aliasing at Medium or higher.
- Reduce visual effects only when they improve combat-time frame consistency.
- After graphics are stable, tune general, ADS and scope sensitivity separately.
- Play several sessions before making another change. Retain settings that remain readable and predictable across different maps and engagements.
The “best” PUBG setup is therefore the one that survives this process on your hardware: clear enough to identify targets, stable enough to avoid disruptive frame-time spikes, and comfortable enough that your mouse corrections remain repeatable.
