Which parts of Silent Hill do you want more of?
“Like Silent Hill” can mean several things: a story shaped by guilt or identity, scarce supplies and danger, dreamlike imagery, or slow exploration punctuated by puzzles and monsters. These games overlap with different parts of that mix, so the best next game depends on what you want to preserve.

- Psychological themes: Look for stories concerned with guilt, grief, identity, memory, or existential questions.
- Survival pressure: Choose a game that makes you manage resources and danger rather than simply explore a horror setting.
- Exploration and puzzles: Consider how much you want to investigate environments and solve problems between encounters.
- View and atmosphere: The picks range from third-person supernatural horror to first-person confinement and retro-tech science fiction.
Best games to play after Silent Hill
SIGNALIS: the closest overall match
SIGNALIS is the clearest fit if you want psychological unease alongside survival-horror mechanics. PlayStation describes it as classic psychological survival horror, with resource management, puzzles, nightmarish creatures, cosmic dread, and themes of identity and memory. That combination makes it the strongest overlap here for a player seeking both vulnerability and a psychologically charged story. PlayStation’s SIGNALIS page showed PS4 availability and PS5 playability when accessed; check the current listing for purchasing details.

The Medium: dual-world puzzles and supernatural horror
The Medium suits players drawn to psychological atmosphere and mystery, especially if solving environmental puzzles matters more than reproducing Silent Hill’s exact survival feel. Bloober Team describes play centered on exploring the real and spirit worlds at once, solving puzzles across those realities, and surviving encounters with The Maw. It is a third-person psychological horror game, and its soundtrack is co-composed by Akira Yamaoka and Arkadiusz Reikowski. The official site lists PC, Xbox, and PS5 purchase paths, as well as a physical retail edition. See The Medium’s official site for current platform and edition details.

Amnesia: The Bunker: first-person survival pressure
Amnesia: The Bunker is an adjacent choice if you want a more immediate, first-person kind of fear. PlayStation’s listing describes a horror game set in a sandbox bunker, where exploration is intended to improve your chances of survival. That supports recommending it for confined-setting tension, but not a more detailed comparison of its systems or current platform availability. Check PlayStation’s Amnesia: The Bunker listing for the current page and availability.
Silent Hill 2 (2024): revisit the series
If your experience is limited to another Silent Hill game, the 2024 remake of Silent Hill 2 is the direct route back to the series rather than an outside alternative. Konami describes it as a full remake of the 2001 PlayStation 2 original, released for PS5 and PC on 8 October 2024. Its release announcement frames James Sunderland’s journey around guilt, grief, and existential horror, and notes expanded areas, an over-the-shoulder view, revised combat, and added cut scenes. Konami’s Silent Hill 2 page and release announcement provide the official details.
