Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsIf you want a PS5 controller with Hall-effect sticks, consider the Nacon Revolution 5 Pro or Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded. For TMR sticks, the Razer Raiju V3 Pro is the clearest established alternative. The modular Victrix is the strongest fit if you want to change the controller’s layout; the Razer offers a symmetrical layout and six extra customizable buttons. None of these sensor types guarantees that a controller can never drift or wear out.
How to choose between Hall effect and TMR controllers
Hall-effect and TMR controllers use different sensing technologies to read stick movement. The useful buying question is not simply which technology is “best”: it is whether the sensor is built into the controller or requires a separate module, and whether the controller’s layout, controls, connectivity, and PS5 features suit you.

The available sources do not establish a comparative lifespan, drift rate, or accuracy advantage for either technology. Treat sensor type as a design feature, not a promise of immunity from wear or drift.

Best direct Hall-effect alternative: Nacon Revolution 5 Pro
The Revolution 5 Pro is the straightforward choice if you want Hall-effect sensors built into both the sticks and triggers, an asymmetrical stick layout, and wired or wireless play. Nacon lists the controller as compatible with PS5, PS4, and PC; its official FAQ says, “The Revolution 5 Pro Controller is compatible with PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.” Nacon’s product page and FAQ
#1 Best Overall
- Seamless Compatibility:This game controller is compatible with PS5, Pro, Slim, PC, and Steam Deck. Enjoy seamlesg integration with your console and all your PS5 games without any complicated setup
- Adjustable RGB Lighting: Personalize your setup with vibrant, 7-color adjustable RGB lighting. Choose from 4 distinct lighting modes (Steady, Breathing, Color Cycle, and Reactive) to match your mood, game, or gaming environment
- 3-Speed Turbo: Gain a competitive edge with the 3-speed adjustable TURBO function. Simply map any action button to turbo for rapid, continuous firing—perfect for shooting games or actions requiring high-speed input

- Ergonomic Design: Its form-fitting shape, balanced weight, and soft-touch materials offer superior comfort. This non-slip design ensures stable control and prevents slippage, even with sweaty hands
Its main trade-off for PS5 players is the lack of console-specific immersion features. Nacon says the vibration motors operate on PC and PS4, not in dedicated PS5 games, and the controller does not have haptic feedback. If you value those features more than its stick technology or customization, this is a meaningful reason to choose another controller.
Best TMR alternative: Razer Raiju V3 Pro
The Raiju V3 Pro is the clearest choice here if you specifically want TMR sticks. Tom’s Guide identifies its sticks as TMR and its triggers as Hall effect. It has a symmetrical stick layout and six additional customizable buttons, making it a good fit if you want extra inputs without switching to an asymmetrical layout. Tom’s Guide review

Tom’s Guide reports a rated wireless battery life of up to 36 hours. The same review notes that the controller lacks haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, so it is not the pick for players who prioritize those PS5 features.
