For an under-₹70,000 phone in India, the best pick depends on what matters most: 91mobiles names the Motorola Signature its overall choice, the OnePlus 15R for performance, the OPPO Reno 16 for cameras, the iQOO 15R for battery, and the Samsung Galaxy A57 for software. Its prices and recommendations are snapshots, not guarantees of today’s retailer price or stock, so check the exact variant before buying.
Best phones under ₹70,000 at a glance
The picks below follow 91mobiles’ category recommendations and its listed prices. The publisher says it evaluates performance, battery and charging, display, real-world use, and cameras; the selections are its editorial verdicts, not firsthand testing by this article. Its roundup is dated 21 September 2026, while a separate 91mobiles list says it checked prices at Amazon India and Flipkart on 5 October 2026. Those dates matter: prices, offers, configurations, and availability can change. 91mobiles’ comparison 91mobiles’ price-checked list

Which phone should you choose?
Motorola Signature: the balanced pick
At ₹59,999 in the September 2026 roundup, the Motorola Signature combines a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a dynamic 1–165Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, three 50MP rear cameras, a 5,200mAh battery, and 90W charging. 91mobiles describes its software as clean and near-stock Android and says Motorola promises up to seven years of OS and security updates. “Up to” is a stated support commitment, not a guarantee about update timing or delivery.
It is not the safest choice if long battery life or sustained heavy gaming is your top concern. 91mobiles flags its smaller battery relative to some rivals and potential endurance compromise; its separate list also calls out underwhelming endurance, conservative camera tuning, and thermal inefficiency. The same publisher reports an AnTuTu score of 3,098,258 for the phone in 2026. Treat that as a publisher-reported benchmark result, not a promise of equivalent performance in every game or workload. 91mobiles comparison and benchmark 91mobiles list and caveats

OnePlus 15R: performance and gaming
The OnePlus 15R is also listed at ₹59,999. Its Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, 6.83-inch 165Hz AMOLED screen, cooling system, and 7,400mAh battery make it the more direct choice for gaming and demanding everyday use. 91mobiles says it found no noticeable stutter in its everyday-use testing and names it the performance pick. Its 2026 AnTuTu result, 2,957,229, is a single publisher-presented benchmark; scores do not substitute for sustained-use or game-specific results. 91mobiles’ OnePlus 15R review
The compromises are important: the rear cameras are a 50MP main and an 8MP ultrawide, with no telephoto lens, and 91mobiles says low-light photography needs improvement. The publisher’s separate list reports an 18-hour-13-minute battery test duration and 49-minute charging time. Those are its test results, not a guaranteed screen-on time or charging time for every user and charging condition. 91mobiles’ tested battery and charging figures

OPPO Reno 16: more camera reach
The ₹66,999 OPPO Reno 16 is 91mobiles’ camera pick. Its four 50MP cameras cover the main, ultrawide, 3.5x telephoto, and selfie roles; the source also notes a low-light selfie flash and AI imaging tools. This configuration offers more dedicated framing options than a phone without a telephoto lens, but megapixel counts alone do not establish image quality. The source calls the package versatile while noting that the phone is expensive and its Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset could be better. Other listed specifications include a 6.32-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, 6,700mAh battery, and 80W charging. 91mobiles’ OPPO Reno 16 comparison
Vivo X200T: a lower-priced camera alternative
At the listed ₹59,999, the Vivo X200T offers a Dimensity 9400+, three 50MP ZEISS rear cameras, a 3x optical telephoto camera, a 6,200mAh battery, 90W wired charging, and 40W wireless charging. Digit specifies the Indian variant as 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Its trade-offs include a standard 120Hz AMOLED panel rather than LTPO, USB 2.0, and reported heat during sustained gaming. It is a feature-rich alternative if camera flexibility and wireless charging matter more than the fastest USB connection or prolonged gaming thermals. iQOO 15R: the battery-category choice
91mobiles lists the iQOO 15R at ₹53,999 and names it the battery winner. The cited passage does not provide equivalent test duration, capacity, or charging figures for it, so the recommendation is useful as a shortlist signal rather than a basis for a numerical comparison. Check a model-specific review and the current listing if battery life is your deciding factor. 91mobiles’ category picks
Samsung Galaxy A57: support and software first
The Galaxy A57 is listed at ₹59,999 and is 91mobiles’ software-focused recommendation. Choose it if Samsung’s software experience and long-term support matter more to you than having the fastest chipset. The cited material does not supply a detailed update duration for this model, so confirm the support policy for the exact regional variant rather than assuming it matches another phone’s promise. 91mobiles’ Galaxy A57 recommendation 91mobiles’ list

How to compare the finalists
Performance: look beyond the chipset name
For gaming, consider sustained performance and heat as well as peak speed. The OnePlus 15R is the specific performance pick in 91mobiles’ roundup, while its separate battery test also gives a useful attributed data point. Motorola Signature’s AnTuTu score is higher in the cited results, but a benchmark ranking alone does not establish which phone will stay cooler or faster in a particular game. The evidence here does not provide a controlled head-to-head thermal test.
Cameras: check the lenses you will actually use
Camera choice is partly about framing options. The OPPO Reno 16 lists a 3.5x telephoto camera; the Vivo X200T lists a 3x optical telephoto. The OnePlus 15R lacks a telephoto lens, and its source-reported low-light weakness is worth weighing if night photos matter. Consider low-light, selfie, ultrawide, and zoom use—not just the number of megapixels.

Battery: capacity is not the same as endurance
A larger capacity does not by itself prove longer real-world battery life. Usage, display settings, connectivity, and workload all affect endurance. Among the specific evidence here, 91mobiles reports its own 18-hour-13-minute battery test for the OnePlus 15R and selects the iQOO 15R as its battery category winner; the cited passages do not give matching test results for every shortlisted model.
Software: distinguish a promise from delivery
Motorola Signature’s “up to seven years” is a stated OS and security update commitment as described by 91mobiles. The roundup recommends the Galaxy A57 for Samsung’s software experience and support, but does not give a model-specific update count in the cited material. Before buying, verify the exact model’s regional policy and consider whether you prefer a near-stock interface or Samsung’s approach.

Quick Recap
Check before you buy
- Confirm the exact RAM and storage variant: a model’s headline price may not apply to the configuration you want.
- Compare the live price at Amazon India or Flipkart with the dated list price; check whether a discount depends on a bank card, exchange, or other condition.
- Check the seller, stock, and regional model. A price list is not proof that a particular variant is currently available.
- Match the phone to your priority: telephoto reach for zoom, cooling and sustained performance for gaming, or a clearly stated update policy for long-term use.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
