Choose Owncast for a self-hosted viewing destination
Owncast fits if you want to operate your own streaming server and serve viewers there, including its web chat. You remain responsible for providing the live feed. Investigate hardware only after confirming the loop behavior
YouTube identifies AJA HELO Plus and says PlayToStream can schedule prerecorded media to YouTube Live without a computer. That is a useful hardware lead, but the cited source does not establish support for an endlessly looping playlist. Verify that capability before choosing it for a channel that must run continuously.
YouTube scheduling, stream keys, and archives
Scheduling a YouTube live event does not by itself keep a video source running. YouTube’s instructions require connecting an encoder with the server URL and stream key; for a scheduled event, connect and start the encoder when the scheduled time arrives. Treat the stream key as a credential: use the key for the intended YouTube stream and do not expose it publicly.

Plan separately for replay preservation. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. A continuous 24/7 broadcast therefore should not be assumed to produce a complete replay. If you need an archive, arrange local recording or another separate archive process and verify it is working.
