The Crew Motorfest: the closest festival-style alternative
Motorfest is the strongest starting point if what you want from Forza Horizon is a large setting that supports several kinds of driving, rather than a game focused mainly on city street racing. Ubisoft describes a Hawaiian open world with city races, volcanic off-road routes, and track events, organized in part through themed campaigns called Playlists. Ubisoft’s feature page describes the range this way: “Take part in high-speed street races through the bustling city of Honolulu, test your off-road skills on the ashy slopes of a volcano, or master the perfect curve on the tracks.” That is promotional product copy, but it makes the game’s intended variety clear.
How its activities and collection are organized
Playlists provide themed routes through activities, while the broader feature set includes street, off-road, and track driving. Ubisoft’s current product page reports over 800 vehicle models from more than 50 manufacturers; this is the publisher’s roster count, not an independently audited figure. The same page says Collection Import can bring in almost all vehicles unlocked in The Crew 2. Check Ubisoft’s product page for the current details.

Current platform and content details
Ubisoft lists Motorfest for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, and also lists Ubisoft+. Its current page says the Year 4 plan includes Season 11 and a new free island, Kauai; Ubisoft’s news listing says Season 11 becomes available October 7, 2026. Live-service schedules can move, so consult the product page and news updates for the latest status.
Need for Speed Unbound: street racing and police pursuits
Unbound is a better match if you want a street-racing campaign rather than a broad festival of event types. EA describes a climb through weekly qualifiers toward The Grand in Lakeshore, with police pursuits, wagers, customization, and graffiti-inspired visual effects. That combination makes risk and campaign progress central to its pitch. EA lists the game for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown: cruising and social car culture
Solar Crown is the option for players who are drawn to exploring roads, collecting cars, and competing with other players in a social setting. PlayStation describes Hong Kong Island as recreated at 1:1 scale, with narrow streets, highways, mountain roads, and beaches. The official game page lists PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. If social spaces and ranked competition are the draw, check the current listing for your platform and region before buying; the available descriptions establish those features, but not how active a particular mode or community is. PlayStation’s listing and the game’s official site are starting points for current product information.

- Want a campaign about city street racing: Choose Unbound for Lakeshore, weekly qualifiers, and police pursuits.
- Want to cruise and compete socially: Consider Solar Crown for its Hong Kong Island setting, social hubs, clans, and ranked play.
The three games differ in what they emphasize: Motorfest foregrounds variety, Unbound foregrounds street-racing progression, and Solar Crown foregrounds cruising and social competition. None is objectively the best across every preference.
