The strongest October 2026 picks depend on which kind of nostalgia you want on display: LEGO PlayStation 72306 recreates the original console, while LEGO Pokémon Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball 72154 is the more substantial retro Pokémon-themed display build. The PlayStation set opens for LEGO Insiders on October 1 and goes on general sale October 4; both Pokémon sets are announced for October 1 in launch markets.

Prices above are manufacturer-announced suggested prices, not confirmed current sale prices. Prices and release availability vary by market; check the official regional LEGO listing before ordering. Best for PlayStation nostalgia: LEGO PlayStation 72306
For an adult PlayStation fan, this is the clearest choice: a 1,911-piece, age-18+ build modeled on the original console and controller. The LEGO Group says the Open and Power buttons work, and concealed builds reference Gran Turismo and Ape Escape. Those details make it more than a static console-shaped model, while keeping the original hardware as the visual centerpiece.
The LEGO Group gives the model dimensions of over 6 cm high, 26 cm wide and 19 cm deep. That makes it worth measuring the intended shelf space before buying. Its announced suggested prices are £139.99, €159.99 and $179.99, with LEGO Insiders early access starting October 1, 2026, and general availability starting October 4. #1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Best match for a retro Pokémon display: Poké Ball 72154
If “retro Pokémon kit” means a larger, adult-oriented display build rather than a character figure, Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball 72154 is the stronger match. The joint LEGO Group and Pokémon announcement lists an October 1, 2026 launch and suggested prices of £229.99, €259.99 and $299.99. Because the price is announced across currencies rather than confirmed as a current local transaction price, use the relevant regional shop listing for the amount available to you.
There is an unresolved official discrepancy in the piece count: the announcement says 2,339, while the LEGO Shop GB product page says 2,386. Neither figure should be treated as definitive until LEGO reconciles the listings. The conflict does not change the set’s role as the larger-format Pokémon display option, but it makes piece-count comparisons unreliable. Check the joint announcement and official LEGO Shop GB page for their respective details.

Lower announced price: Pokémon Up-Scaled Red 40868
Up-Scaled Red is the other announced October Pokémon set. It is listed as 930 pieces, age 10+, with availability beginning October 1, 2026, in launch markets. The announcement’s suggested prices are $79.99, €79.99 and £69.99. It is a different format from the Poké Ball display build, so choose it if the Red character model is the appeal—not as a like-for-like smaller version of the Poké Ball set. The official announcement provides its launch details.
