Into the Breach and Red Dead Redemption are both in Netflix’s September 9, 2026 game catalog, but they suit very different players: one is a compact, turn-based tactics game; the other is an open-world Western adventure. These are preference-based picks, not a tested ranking. Netflix’s catalog says members can access more than 120 exclusive mobile games with no ads, extra fees, or in-app purchases. Check Netflix’s catalog for current, local availability.
Which Netflix game should you play?
| Game | Best for | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Into the Breach | Turn-based strategy and deliberate tactical decisions | Small-scale battles in which you defend civilization from alien threats on an 8-by-8 grid, as described in Netflix’s catalog. |
| Red Dead Redemption | Open-world action, Western settings and a story-led adventure | Play as John Marston as he pursues members of his former gang across a fictional 1911 American Southwest and Mexico. The mobile version includes the standalone Undead Nightmare expansion. |
Into the Breach: best for tactical planning
Netflix describes Into the Breach as “8 x 8 tactical warfare.” You lead a team against alien threats and try to protect civilization. Its turn-based format makes it a strong fit if you prefer to assess a situation and choose your moves carefully rather than focus on fast reflexes. Netflix lists it in its current catalog.

Red Dead Redemption: best for a Western adventure
In Netflix’s mobile version, you play John Marston, whose family has been kidnapped. He sets out to find members of his former gang in a fictional 1911 American Southwest and Mexico. Netflix says the game stands alone, so you do not need to play Red Dead Redemption 2 first.
The adventure includes activities such as clearing gang hideouts, hunting, taming horses, poker, bounties and duels. Dead Eye lets you slow time to target enemies. Netflix says the mobile edition includes the standalone Undead Nightmare expansion and can be downloaded and played with a Netflix subscription without ads or in-app purchases. Its premise and action are mature, so it may not suit every player.

- Also included is Undead Nightmare, the iconic horror story that transforms the world of Red Dead Redemption into an apocalyptic fight for survival against a zombie horde.
How to access Netflix mobile games
Netflix games are downloaded from app stores to supported phones and tablets. Netflix’s catalog lists Android 8.0 or later and iOS or iPadOS 15 or later as requirements. - Saved progress is associated with your Netflix profile and may be stored locally or in the cloud.
- Availability can vary by location, device and app-store listing, and the catalog can change. Check the game’s listing in your market before deciding.
Can you play Netflix games on a TV?
Netflix also offers games on TVs and Netflix.com through a beta that is not available in every country or on every device.
