Recommended Free Tools
The best Mubert alternative depends on the music you need: choose Suno for full songs and vocals, SOUNDRAW for adjustable instrumental background music, or AIVA for composition controls and MIDI workflows. Beatoven.ai, TemPolor, and Singify are additional leads to investigate, but a discovery listing alone does not confirm their current features, prices, or licenses.
First, match the tool to the kind of music you need
Mubert focuses on generated music for practical formats such as tracks, loops, mixes, and jingles. Its workflow can start from text, a mood or genre, or image inspiration; its site describes durations from seconds up to 25 minutes. See Mubert’s explanation of how its generation works.

That makes the first decision less about which service is “best” and more about the output you need. A background bed under narration is not the same job as a complete vocal song, an editable composition, or a track selected from a catalog.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Need a complete song or vocals: consider Suno.
- Need adjustable instrumental background music: consider SOUNDRAW.
- Need composition-oriented controls or MIDI: consider AIVA.
- Need more candidates: Product Hunt lists Beatoven.ai, TemPolor, and Singify, but treat those as discovery leads rather than verified recommendations.
How the main alternatives differ
| Tool | Best fit | Controls or workflow highlighted by its source | Rights and plan considerations |
|---|---|---|---|
| Suno | Full songs, vocals, editing, and stem workflows | Its pricing page lists credits, downloads, and editing features that vary by plan. | The Free tier is listed without commercial rights; paid Pro and Premier tiers list commercial-use rights. Check the terms applicable to your account and track. |
| SOUNDRAW | Creator background music for videos and podcasts | Its site describes adjusting energy and length, with different download entitlements and formats by plan. | Plans differ; confirm the applicable license and terms for the intended project. |
| AIVA | Composition and MIDI-oriented workflows | Its site describes more than 250 styles, user style models, audio or MIDI influence uploads, editing, and multiple file formats. | Its tiers distinguish non-commercial use, limited monetization, and a Pro plan that claims copyright ownership and full monetization. Review the current terms. |
| Beatoven.ai | Mood-based background scores with stems | Listed as an alternative by Product Hunt. | Product Hunt does not establish current entitlements, license coverage, or pricing. |
| TemPolor | Royalty-free music catalogs | Listed as an alternative by Product Hunt. | Product Hunt does not establish current entitlements, license coverage, or pricing. |
| Singify | AI covers | Listed as an alternative by Product Hunt. | Product Hunt does not establish current entitlements, license coverage, or pricing. |
Product Hunt’s Mubert alternatives listing is useful for finding candidates, but it is not an independent ranking or product test. The descriptions of Beatoven.ai, TemPolor, and Singify above reflect how that listing categorizes them, not a verification of their present-day offerings.

What to know about each option
Suno: when the result should be a song
Suno is the closest fit here when you want a complete song, vocals, or song-editing workflows rather than a background layer. Its pricing page lists a Free tier with 50 daily credits and no commercial rights. It displays Pro at $8 per month and Premier at $24 per month, and notes savings for annual billing. Paid tiers list commercial-use rights, but prices and features can change; consult the linked terms and confirm which terms apply to your track before releasing or distributing it.
SOUNDRAW: adjustable background music
SOUNDRAW positions its tools for creators and artists who need music for uses such as videos and podcasts. Its official product and pricing page describes controls for energy and length, with downloads and formats varying by plan. The page displays Creator at $16.99 monthly or $11.04 with annual billing; Artist Starter and Artist Pro have different prices and download allowances. Treat those figures as a snapshot, not a permanent quote, and check the current plan and license before purchasing.

AIVA: more composition control
AIVA is oriented toward people who want to shape a composition rather than only request a background track. Its official site describes more than 250 styles, custom style models, audio or MIDI influence uploads, editing, and several export formats. Its pricing page separates a free non-commercial tier from Standard, which has limited monetization, and Pro, which claims copyright ownership for the user and full monetization. Those are vendor descriptions; read the current terms to establish what your selected plan permits.
Beatoven.ai, TemPolor, and Singify: leads to verify
Product Hunt describes Beatoven.ai as a mood-based background-score option with stems, TemPolor as a royalty-free catalog, and Singify as an AI-cover tool. The listing does not establish current feature availability, purchase terms, or pricing. Check each provider’s own current documentation before choosing one for a project.

Check licensing against the project, not the slogan
“Royalty-free” or “commercial use” is not a blanket answer for every release. Rights can depend on the specific plan, how and where the track is used, and the provider’s terms in force when it was created. A permission to use music commercially does not, by itself, establish that every client deliverable, advertisement, streaming release, app, or game is covered.
- Name the use: identify whether the music is for a personal video, monetized channel, client project, ad, app, game, or music release.
- Check the exact plan: confirm commercial-use availability, attribution requirements, ownership language, and any limits on distribution or platforms.
- Check the track’s timing: save or review the terms that apply when you generate and publish it; plan details can change.
- Keep the evidence: retain the plan details, license text, and any project-specific permission relevant to the use.
Vendor pages are the authoritative source for each vendor’s own terms, not independent legal analysis. If the usage is high-stakes or the license language is unclear, get clarification from the provider before relying on it.

Compare workflow and exports before committing
Once the output type fits, compare the practical handoff to your editor or production process. Look for the controls and files your workflow actually needs rather than assuming every AI music service supports them.
- Output: determine whether you need a loop, short jingle, background bed, full song, vocals, or catalog track.
- Control: decide whether prompts and mood selection are sufficient or whether you need arrangement editing, style models, or audio/MIDI influence.
- Export: verify duration limits, stems, and the specific file formats you can download.
- Capacity: compare credits, download allowances, and any usage ceilings against your likely workload.
The available source descriptions establish some of these differences—such as AIVA’s MIDI workflow, Suno’s plan-dependent downloads and editing, and SOUNDRAW’s energy and length controls—but do not provide a complete, standardized export comparison across every tool. Check each provider’s current product pages for the precise format and quota you need.
