For a typical Gujarati video recorded at 1080p, 30 fps, and SDR, export as progressive MP4 with H.264 video, BT.709 color, about 8 Mbps video bitrate, and stereo AAC-LC audio at 48 kHz and 384 kbps. These settings are language-neutral: Gujarati speech and script do not require a special codec or bitrate. Match the export to your source footage, though, and first decide whether you mean a playlist viewers can play or a continuous livestream of prerecorded videos—those are different YouTube workflows.
Recommended MP4 export settings
YouTube’s current upload guidance recommends the settings below. The bitrate values are platform recommendations, not guarantees of visual quality or measurements of your specific footage. Use the row that matches the resolution and frame-rate category of your export.

Those figures cover the common 720p and 1080p cases; YouTube’s recommendation table also includes other resolutions, including 360p, 480p, 1440p, 4K, and 8K. Consult the YouTube upload encoding recommendations for the row matching your export, and use its separate table if you are exporting HDR rather than SDR.

A practical 1080p preset
For ordinary 1080p SDR footage recorded at 30 fps, set MP4, H.264 progressive, 30 fps, BT.709, approximately 8 Mbps video, and stereo AAC-LC at 48 kHz and 384 kbps. This is a practical starting point derived from YouTube’s current recommendations, not a custom-tested preset for Gujarati content. If your source was recorded at 60 fps, keep it at 60 fps and use the high-frame-rate recommendation instead.
Choose settings from your source, not the language
The Gujarati language does not change the encoding requirements. Base the export on the recording’s resolution, frame rate, and color format. A higher recommended bitrate can preserve more detail, but exporting at a higher resolution or frame rate than the source does not recreate detail that was never recorded.

- Resolution: export at the resolution you actually edited and intend to publish; use the matching bitrate row.
- Frame rate: match the source instead of converting it just to select a different recommendation category.
- SDR or HDR: follow the corresponding YouTube bitrate and color guidance; BT.709 applies to SDR.
- Interlaced source: deinterlace before upload so the uploaded video is progressive.
Editor labels and exact menu locations vary by application. If an export dialog does not expose a codec detail such as closed GOP or CABAC, prioritize the main choices—MP4, H.264, progressive scan, correct source frame rate, resolution, color, and bitrate—and consult that editor’s export documentation for its advanced options.
A YouTube playlist is not a 24/7 livestream
A YouTube playlist is a collection of uploaded videos that viewers can play and reorder; a livestream is a separate broadcast. Exporting an MP4 does not make a playlist broadcast continuously as a live channel. If viewers only need to play Gujarati videos in sequence, create a YouTube playlist and add the uploaded videos. Limits for uploaded videos
YouTube’s current upload guidance sets a maximum of 256 GB or 12 hours per video, whichever is less. An account must be verified to upload videos longer than 15 minutes. These are upload limits, not a way to turn multiple videos into a continuous livestream. Details are in YouTube Help’s upload limits.
Limits for continuous livestreams
YouTube says livestreams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but a stream that exceeds 12 hours may not be captured at all. Rewind may also be limited or unavailable on very long streams. Do not rely on one 24-hour broadcast to produce a complete archive or uninterrupted rewind. Check YouTube’s livestream archive guidance before planning an extended broadcast.

Check before publishing or running it continuously
- Make sure you have the rights to the video and audio you upload or broadcast. A Gujarati-language recording is not exempt from copyright rules.
- Review YouTube’s current monetization and reused-content policies if you plan to monetize. A technically correct export does not establish that content is eligible for monetization.
- Test a short upload first to confirm the picture, audio, orientation, and processing look right before preparing a long playlist or broadcast.
- For a livestream, verify the channel’s live-streaming access and stream-key setup in YouTube Studio before scheduling a continuous operation.
