For a modest, fixed-scene OBS setup, an Intel N100 mini PC is a sensible low-power starting point. The Beelink Mini S12 Pro is one example: Beelink lists an N100 configuration with 16 GB of RAM, 500 GB of storage and gigabit LAN. But no cited source establishes that this specific PC is tested or certified for uninterrupted 24/7 streaming. Treat it as a candidate to test—not a proven always-on solution.
The right choice depends on your output resolution and frame rate, camera and capture-device count, overlays, local recording needs and backup plan. A capable computer alone cannot guarantee a continuous stream: YouTube also stresses reliable upload bandwidth, advance testing and monitoring.

Can a mini PC stream church services to YouTube?
Yes. A mini PC can run OBS and send a church service to YouTube if its hardware, capture setup and network can handle the actual production. The word “mini” does not establish performance or reliability, and processor specifications do not prove that a complete PC will stay stable around the clock.

Which mini PC is a practical starting point?
Intel N100: relevant hardware, not a 24/7 guarantee
Intel lists the N100 as a four-core, four-thread processor with a maximum frequency of 3.40 GHz, 6 W TDP, Intel UHD Graphics and Intel Quick Sync Video. Intel also lists a maximum memory size of 16 GB. These are processor specifications; they do not describe the cooling, power supply or long-duration reliability of every mini PC built around it. See Intel’s N100 specifications.
Quick Sync is relevant because hardware encoding can move encoding work from the CPU to a specialized graphics component. OBS describes the general benefit and trade-offs in its hardware encoding guidance. It does not mean an N100 will comfortably handle every combination of cameras, filters, overlays and recording.
Beelink Mini S12 Pro: an example to verify
Beelink lists a Mini S12 Pro configuration with an N100 processor, 16 GB DDR4, 500 GB storage and 1 Gbps LAN. That makes it a concrete candidate, not a tested winner. Configurations can change, so check the exact SKU and current seller listing for memory, storage, Ethernet, operating system and warranty before buying: Beelink Mini S12 Pro product page.

What mini PC specs should a church compare?
Shortlist systems against the production you actually run rather than choosing by processor name alone.
- Encoder: Check whether the hardware supports the encoder you plan to select in OBS. Hardware encoding may reduce CPU load, but does not remove the need to test the whole scene.
- Headroom: Consider resolution, frame rate, number of cameras and capture devices, overlays, transitions and filters. A simple pulpit shot is a different workload from a multi-camera production.
- Memory and storage: Match RAM and storage to OBS, other running software and any local recording. The Beelink configuration cited above has 16 GB RAM and 500 GB storage; verify the exact configuration on offer.
- Wired network: Prefer a stable Ethernet connection where available, and measure the upload capacity at the church location during likely service conditions.
- Cooling, warranty and service: Ask what support and warranty apply to the exact model, and how its cooling is intended to cope with extended operation. The available product specifications do not establish continuous-duty performance.
- Recovery plan: Decide how you will respond to power, network, encoder or capture-device failure. Test any backup power, alternate network or failover arrangement rather than assuming it will work.
Set YouTube and OBS for the stream you need
Choose settings for the intended broadcast and available upload—not an aspirational resolution or frame rate. YouTube’s live encoder settings and bitrate guidance recommends H.264 ingest at 5 Mbps for 1080p30 and 6 Mbps for 1080p60. Its guidance calls for constant bitrate (CBR), recommends a two-second keyframe interval (not over four seconds), and recommends RTMPS. These are platform recommendations, not proof that a particular PC can sustain a workload.

This allows you to easily add a second solid-state drive for up to an additional 2TB of storage capacity (upgrades not included) without needing to remove or reinstall the original operating system.
- 【Radeon 6-Core Graphics & Triple 4K Displays】 Integrated with official AMD Radeon Graphics (6 Graphics Cores, 1500 MHz frequency) for casual gaming, photo editing, and crisp 4K media decoding. Featuring 1x HDMI 2.0 port, 1x DisplayPort, and 1x Full-Function Type-C port, the E5 outputs true 4K@60Hz resolution to three monitors at once. This multi-screen setup eliminates constant window-switching for traders, programmers, and office workers.
- 【Dual 2.5GbE LAN Ports for Advanced Networking】 Experience fast wired network transmission speeds up to 2500Mbps without lagging or buffering. The integration of dual 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports (powered by Realtek RTL8125 controller) makes this compact computer an exceptional hardware choice for tech enthusiasts. Easily configure it into software routers, hardware firewalls (pfSense, OpnSense), home NAS servers, or local homelabs.
- Set the output resolution and frame rate: In OBS, configure the video output to match the service you intend to deliver. Do not select 1080p60 simply because the PC or camera offers it if the production does not need it or the upload cannot support it.
- Choose the encoder: In OBS output settings, select an available hardware encoder if appropriate, such as the Intel hardware-encoding path exposed by your system. Check the encoder options actually shown by your installed OBS and graphics drivers.
- Set rate control and bitrate: Use CBR and select the YouTube-recommended bitrate for the matching H.264 output as a starting point: 5 Mbps for 1080p30 or 6 Mbps for 1080p60. If you use another resolution, frame rate or codec, consult YouTube’s current table rather than extrapolating these figures.
- Set keyframes and transport: Set a two-second keyframe interval, keep it within YouTube’s four-second maximum, and use RTMPS where your encoder supports it.
- Check the stream key: In YouTube Live Control Room, use the stream key for the intended broadcast and enter it in OBS’s stream settings. Treat the key like a password: do not show it on screen, share it publicly or include it in a recording.
- Run a representative test: Test with the same audio, movement, cameras and scenes you expect during worship. Review the Live Control Room preview and stream-health messages before relying on the setup.
Check upload capacity and service-day readiness
YouTube says available upload bandwidth must exceed the total bitrate being sent and recommends 20% headroom beyond the primary plus backup stream bitrate where applicable. A wired connection and a reliable internet service matter: a powerful PC cannot compensate for a connection disruption. See YouTube’s encoder guidance and YouTube streaming tips.
Recommended Free Tools
- Measure the church connection’s upload capacity under realistic conditions, not only on an unusually quiet network.
- If using a backup stream, include its bitrate when working out the headroom YouTube recommends.
- Set up and test well before the service. YouTube advises setup at least two hours before an event and starting the encoder at least 15 minutes early.
- Check the Live Control Room preview, audio and video quality, and stream-health messages; test failover if you have a backup path.
- If recording locally, confirm that the archive file is growing and that the destination drive has enough available space.
- Monitor the stream continuously. A disruption in connectivity can break the stream.
Copyright, reused content and stream-key safety
A mini PC does not grant permission to broadcast music, video or other material. Before a service, confirm that the church has the rights needed for every song, recording, clip and other third-party material it streams. YouTube may act on content that violates its rules; do not assume that a live religious service or a recording available elsewhere is automatically cleared for retransmission. Keep stream-key access limited to trusted operators and replace a key if it is exposed.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Common problems and what to check
OBS drops frames or the stream looks unstable
Check YouTube’s stream-health messages and compare actual upload capacity with the full stream bitrate, including any backup stream. Use a wired connection where possible, reduce output demands if the connection cannot sustain them, and test again under service-like network conditions.

The PC struggles when scenes change or cameras are added
Reduce unnecessary scene complexity or output demands, and test the exact combination of cameras, capture devices and overlays. Quick Sync can reduce CPU encoding work, but it does not establish that the whole production fits the system.
YouTube does not receive the stream
Confirm that OBS is using the intended YouTube stream key and that the encoder is configured for a supported protocol and settings. Check the Live Control Room for preview and health messages, and avoid exposing or reusing a key that may have been shared.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsThe stream works briefly but fails during an extended run
Do not infer 24/7 reliability from a short successful test. Check cooling, power, network stability and recording storage, then run a test at the intended duration before using the system for a service. No cited source establishes a continuous-duty rating for the example mini PC.
Or let it run in the cloud
If the church’s goal is to keep a YouTube channel live using uploaded sermon recordings rather than a live camera production, StreamNeo is the cloud alternative to consider first: it loops uploaded videos, so the computer at church does not have to stay on. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add the YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo streams to YouTube only; it is not a camera-based live production service.
Quick Recap
- Nothing has to stay on at home or at the church to keep the uploaded-video stream running.
