The LIAN LI A4-H2O is the strongest fit when minimizing case volume matters most: it is an 11 L Mini-ITX case with a top 240 mm radiator mount, subject to a strict 55 mm combined radiator-and-fan thickness limit. For a roomier build with top 280 mm support, consider the Cooler Master MasterBox NR200P V2; for listed 360 mm radiator compatibility, the taller CORSAIR 2000D AIRFLOW is the relevant option. These are compatibility-based recommendations, not thermal-performance rankings. Check the exact case revision and every component’s dimensions before buying.

Which Mini-ITX case should you choose for water cooling?

Start with the radiator size your build actually needs, then check the full cooling stack, GPU clearance, power-supply format, and installation space. A radiator label alone does not establish that the radiator, fans, fittings, graphics card, and cables will all fit together.

  • Smallest documented option: LIAN LI A4-H2O, with an 11 L volume and top support for a 240 mm radiator.
  • Roomier 280 mm option: Cooler Master MasterBox NR200P V2, with an 18.25 L volume and top support through 280 mm.
  • Largest radiator class here: CORSAIR 2000D AIRFLOW, which lists compatibility through 360 mm in a substantially taller enclosure.

Manufacturer compatibility figures describe fit, not comparative cooling results. The specifications below are from the manufacturers’ current product pages checked in 2026; verify the manual and compatibility guidance for the exact parts and case configuration you plan to use.

How the cases compare

Case Radiator support Size or volume Important fit details
LIAN LI A4-H2O Top: 240 mm; maximum 55 mm combined radiator-and-fan thickness 11 L; 326 × 140 × 244 mm Mini-ITX; SFX or SFX-L PSU; GPU length up to 322 mm; two top 120 mm fan positions. LIAN LI specifications
Cooler Master MasterBox NR200P V2 Top: 120, 140, 240, or 280 mm 18.25 L; 372 × 185 × 292 mm including protrusions Mini-ITX; SFX or SFX-L PSU; GPU clearances vary with front-bracket configuration. Cooler Master specifications
CORSAIR 2000D AIRFLOW 120, 140, 240, 280, or 360 mm listed; Corsair describes three 360 mm mounting locations and two simultaneous 360 mm radiators 458 × 271 × 200 mm Mini-ITX; SFX PSU; GPU length up to 365 mm. Confirm the intended mounting locations and clearances using Corsair’s compatibility guidance. Corsair specifications
Fractal Design Era 2 PC Gamer reports top 280 mm support and says Fractal recommends 240 mm where possible; confirm with Fractal’s current manual 366 × 165 × 314 mm, as listed by PC Gamer Secondary-source fit guidance; installation access and part selection can be challenging. What to check before choosing a radiator

Measure the whole radiator-and-fan stack

For the A4-H2O, LIAN LI specifies a maximum combined thickness of 55 mm for the top radiator and fans. Add the radiator’s actual thickness to the fan thickness before ordering; a radiator described as “240 mm” only identifies its nominal length class, not whether its complete stack fits. Also account for fittings and tubing routing where they could meet nearby parts.

  • Modular I/O Panel: You have the flexibility to adjust its position at the front, top, or bottom on both sides
  • Edge-To-Edge Panel: Show off your meticulous build through the transparent side panel with pride.

Check the GPU in the intended configuration

The published maximum GPU lengths differ: 322 mm for the A4-H2O and 365 mm for the 2000D AIRFLOW. Those figures do not replace a complete fit check. Verify the exact graphics-card dimensions, power-connector clearance, and the case’s radiator or bracket arrangement. The NR200P V2’s stated GPU clearance depends on its front-bracket configuration, so consult Cooler Master’s detailed specification for the configuration you intend to use. NVIDIA also publishes a list of SFF-Ready cases and graphics-card fit criteria; treat it as a useful cross-check for listed combinations, not a substitute for the case maker’s instructions: NVIDIA SFF-Ready.

Match the power supply and build layout

The A4-H2O and NR200P V2 specify SFX or SFX-L power supplies, while the 2000D AIRFLOW specifies SFX. Confirm the PSU’s exact dimensions and cable arrangement alongside the GPU and cooling parts. The A4-H2O uses a sandwich layout with removable panels and brackets; that design supports compact packaging, but careful part selection and assembly planning remain important in a small case.

Best fit by build priority

Choose the LIAN LI A4-H2O for minimum volume

The A4-H2O is the clearest choice here if compactness is the priority and a top 240 mm radiator suits the planned components. LIAN LI describes it as an 11 L collaboration with DAN Cases, built around a sandwich layout and designed to support AIO cooling. Its principal constraint for cooling selection is the 55 mm radiator-and-fan stack limit; GPU length is specified up to 322 mm. See LIAN LI’s A4-H2O specifications.

Choose the Cooler Master NR200P V2 for top 280 mm support

The NR200P V2 provides more room than the A4-H2O and lists top radiator support through 280 mm. It is a reasonable fit when a 280 mm radiator is a requirement and the 18.25 L chassis suits the desk or build footprint. Check Cooler Master’s GPU-clearance details against the selected front-bracket setup before assembling the build. See Cooler Master’s NR200P V2 specifications.

Choose the CORSAIR 2000D AIRFLOW for listed 360 mm compatibility

The 2000D AIRFLOW is the option in this comparison for a build calling for a listed 360 mm radiator. Corsair describes three 360 mm mounting locations and says two 360 mm radiators can be installed simultaneously in any two of them. Because location and component arrangement matter, use Corsair’s compatibility guidance to validate the specific radiator, GPU, and other parts. Its 458 mm height makes it a much taller enclosure than the A4-H2O. See Corsair’s 2000D AIRFLOW details.

Consider the Fractal Design Era 2 after checking its manual

PC Gamer’s 2026 guide reports top 280 mm support for the Era 2 and says Fractal recommends using a 240 mm radiator where possible to simplify installation. That is secondary editorial guidance; confirm the intended configuration in Fractal’s current manual before relying on it for a parts list.

A practical compatibility checklist

  1. Choose radiator size and location. Use the case maker’s specifications or manual to identify supported sizes and mounting positions.
  2. Calculate the stack. Add the exact radiator and fan thicknesses; for the A4-H2O, the combined total must not exceed 55 mm.
  3. Verify GPU fit. Compare the exact card dimensions and connector clearance with the case’s documentation and intended bracket or radiator arrangement.
  4. Confirm PSU format. The A4-H2O and NR200P V2 list SFX/SFX-L; the 2000D AIRFLOW lists SFX.
  5. Check the full layout. Confirm that fittings, tubing, cables, and other components can be installed in the chosen configuration rather than relying on radiator size alone.
  6. Use current documentation. Check the manual for the exact case revision and the manufacturers’ compatibility guidance before purchasing parts.

What these specifications can—and cannot—tell you

The manufacturer figures establish nominal radiator support, published dimensions, and selected clearance limits. They do not show which case will produce lower temperatures or quieter operation in a particular build. That depends on the complete hardware, radiator and fan selection, airflow layout, and operating conditions; no comparative thermal test results are established here.
