That makes it a broad alternative for a team willing to use Google’s web-based collaboration workflow. Google’s plan page showed these standard U.S. prices and storage allowances on October 4, 2026:

What to check before switching
Compatibility is a workflow question, not just a file-opening question. Where Zoho Workplace may suit
- You want the core suite tools bundled and are open to working within Zoho’s product environment.
- Your team’s email, document collaboration, chat, and shared storage requirements align with the exact plan you select.
What to verify
Check the selected plan’s specific storage allocation, user and administration controls, regional price, and billing frequency. Compare Writer and your existing Office files using real documents, and confirm that the integrations your business depends on are available. The plan price alone does not establish whether the suite covers every requirement or what a migration will involve.
Proton Workspace: a privacy-oriented suite to evaluate
Proton lists Mail, Calendar, Drive, Docs and Sheets, Meet, VPN, and Pass in its business suite. Its privacy-oriented positioning makes it relevant for organizations that place privacy among their primary selection criteria, but that does not make it an automatic fit for every business workflow.

Keep Microsoft 365 as a specific, plan-level baseline
Microsoft 365 business offerings combine business email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, storage, and Teams chat, calling, or meetings depending on the plan. “Microsoft 365” is not one fixed bundle: identify the plan you use or would buy, and establish whether it includes Teams before comparing features or cost.
Microsoft’s U.S. business page showed Business Premium at $22 per user per month paid yearly on October 4, 2026. This is one specific plan and billing commitment; it is not a like-for-like comparison with every competitor’s entry tier. 1. Test document fidelity and coauthoring
Choose several files the business actually uses: a formatted proposal, a spreadsheet with formulas, and a presentation with its usual layouts. Check editing, comments, sharing permissions, exports, and collaboration with external Microsoft 365 users. If critical files depend on macros, add-ins, or specialized formatting, include those in the evaluation rather than assuming compatibility.

2. Map email, calendar, and chat habits
List the domain and mailbox requirements, calendar sharing, group communication, meeting patterns, and any existing tools or integrations the team needs to keep. Compare each suite’s exact plan contents against this list; the presence of “chat” or “meetings” in a bundle does not establish equivalent capabilities.
3. Calculate storage and meeting capacity for the whole team
Distinguish pooled storage from per-user allowances, and estimate current use plus expected growth. For meetings, compare the participant limits and features on the actual plans under consideration. Do not infer that a plan’s storage figure or meeting capacity applies to other tiers.

Write down the controls your organization requires—for example, identity and access management, retention, device policies, auditability, or administrative delegation—and confirm their availability on the specific plan. The suite names and core apps alone do not establish that a plan meets a compliance or security requirement.

5. Plan migration and integrations
Inventory mailboxes, calendars, files, shared drives, permissions, domains, and connected business applications. Confirm the provider’s migration process and test a small representative set before scheduling a full cutover. The vendor plan pages cited here do not establish migration time, effort, or interoperability results for your environment.
6. Compare the full price under your actual billing term
Use the same seat count and billing period when you compare vendors. Separate recurring list prices from introductory offers, note annual commitments, and account for any required higher-tier plans. Recheck regional terms and the renewal price rather than treating a displayed monthly equivalent as a month-to-month rate.

Google Workspace is the broad cloud suite to evaluate when your team wants Google’s integrated email, documents, storage, chat, and meeting workflow. Zoho Workplace is a bundled alternative worth assessing against its exact plan contents and your Zoho ecosystem needs.
