The best laptop with a fingerprint reader depends on the exact configuration you buy: a reader may be optional even when a laptop family supports it. For a Windows business laptop, the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 6 and Dell Latitude 7450 are options to investigate; Dell documents a power-button reader on the Latitude 7455. - Display: Check the size and type against your viewing and portability needs.
- Weight and portability: Consider how often you will carry the laptop.
- Workload and ports: Check that the configuration and available connections suit the applications and accessories you use.
- Warranty and region: Review the terms and the listing for your country; options can vary by model and region.
How to set up fingerprint sign-in in Windows

Can you add a fingerprint reader to a laptop that lacks one?
Microsoft lists an external reader as an option for a Windows device without a built-in fingerprint reader. Before buying, confirm that the specific USB reader supports Windows Hello on your device and follow its manufacturer’s installation instructions.
