Kansas does not have online casino-style games established as authorized by the official sources cited here. The online gambling option those sources do support is regulated sports wagering through approved platforms. That is different from online slots, roulette, or casino table games—and from casino-style gaming at a physical Kansas casino.
Are online casinos legal in Kansas?
Kansas’s regulator says, “Some forms of gambling are legal in Kansas, but most forms of gambling are illegal.” Its FAQ identifies state-operated lotteries and casino-style gaming at Kansas casino facilities among the exceptions. Kansas law separately provides a framework for interactive sports wagering platforms linked to lottery gaming facility managers. Together, those sources support online sports betting, not online casino games. See the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission’s gambling FAQ and K.S.A. 74-8782.

That means a sports betting app should not be described as an online casino. It may offer wagers on sports, but the sources do not establish that it may offer online slots, roulette, or casino tables to Kansas users.
Which Kansas sports wagering apps did the regulator list?
The KRGC’s 2025 Annual Report named the following platforms and their facility affiliations at the time of the report. This is a dated snapshot, not confirmation that every platform remains available in October 2026. Check the regulator’s current information and an operator’s terms before signing up.
#1 Best Overall
| Platform named in the 2025 report | Associated Kansas facility |
|---|---|
| DraftKings | Boot Hill |
| FanDuel | Kansas Star |
| Bet365 | Kansas Star |
| ESPN Bet | Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway |
| BetMGM | Kansas Crossing |
| Caesars | Kansas Crossing |
| Fanatics | Kansas Crossing |
The report identifies these as sports wagering platforms, not online casinos. It does not establish current promotions, fees, payout speed, app quality, odds, or affiliate-program terms, so those are not grounds for ranking the services here. The source is the KRGC 2025 Annual Report.
Who can use an authorized platform?
Under K.S.A. 74-8782, a wager through an interactive sports wagering platform must be submitted by someone physically located in Kansas at the time of the wager. Being a Kansas resident is not a substitute for meeting the in-state location requirement. The law also sets an age minimum of 21; consult the statute for the controlling eligibility rules.

Platform availability and account requirements can change. Before depositing, confirm the operator’s current Kansas availability, identity and age checks, geolocation process, account terms, and withdrawal rules. The statute’s platform framework is described in K.S.A. 74-8782.
What safeguards does Kansas require?
Kansas law requires player-facing tools on interactive sports wagering platforms, including options to set time and money limits, information about compulsive gambling and treatment support, and the ability to exclude certain electronic payment methods. It also prohibits a lottery gaming facility manager from extending a line of credit to a person engaged in sports wagering. These requirements are set out in K.S.A. 74-8782.

Kansas Sports Wagering Exclusion Program
The KRGC’s 2025 Annual Report recorded 1,506 enrollments in the Sports Wagering Exclusion Program from September 1, 2022, through December 31, 2025, including 622 enrollments during calendar year 2025. These are enrollment counts—not an estimate of how many Kansans have gambling problems, or a measure of treatment outcomes. Program information is included in the KRGC 2025 Annual Report.
