Install Jurassic Awakening safely
Single-player or local play
- Open the current Jurassic Awakening listing on CurseForge and confirm the displayed version, update date and supported file type.
- Download the client archive intended for your platform. The available archive names distinguish Windows files from WindowsServer files, so do not select a server package for a normal game client.
- Install or enable the mod through the method provided by your ARK: Survival Ascended mod manager, then launch the game with Jurassic Awakening active.

Separate creature additions from second overhauls
A small creature add-on and another progression overhaul are not equivalent risks. A second overhaul may alter the same spawns, resources, crafting recipes, progression gates or AI systems. The available evidence does not establish compatibility between Jurassic Awakening and any named second overhaul, so do not assume that a mod appearing in a 2026 roundup will work with it.
Check whether “new” creatures are already in the base game
Some creatures originally associated with Ark Additions have been moved into the base game. - Stop the server or exit the game cleanly.
- Back up the save and configuration files.
- Check whether the author lists a required world reset, migration step or compatibility warning.
- Update the client and server to the same release.
- Test the backup copy before replacing the live save.
Do not infer current compatibility from the listing’s version 1.0 label alone. A version number can remain unchanged while files, dependencies or supported game builds change.

- More varied encounters and behavior that is intended to feel less predictable.
