Best Indian VPS Providers for a Pre-Recorded YouTube 24/7 Stream

There is no independently tested winner among the Indian VPS options covered here. The useful shortlist is NivoHost, Endercloud and VyomCloud, but their published specifications do not prove that a plan can sustain your particular stream. Choose by sustained upload to YouTube, monthly data allowance at your target bitrate, recovery options and the full cost—not by server location or a headline port speed alone.

If you want to loop an uploaded recording or playlist without configuring and monitoring a server, StreamNeo is the managed alternative to consider first: it runs the YouTube stream from the cloud, at any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, with a first day free. It is not a VPS, and it plays uploaded videos rather than streaming a live camera.

What a VPS does for a prerecorded 24/7 stream

A VPS is a rented virtual server that can run streaming software continuously. For a prerecorded stream, the server sends an already encoded video or playlist to YouTube Live. That is different from producing a live camera feed, compositing scenes, or transcoding video in real time. A machine able to transmit a file is not necessarily powerful enough to encode demanding video reliably.

A VPS gives you control over the operating system, encoder and recovery setup, but you are responsible for installing, configuring and monitoring them. The provider snapshots below are a starting point for questions to ask, not a tested ranking.

Indian VPS shortlist: published offer snapshots

The prices and specifications below are public-offer snapshots reported by iTechGuides on October 3, 2026. They are provider-published claims, not independently measured stream results. Availability, prices, transfer limits, fair-use terms and taxes may change; confirm the live offer and contract terms with each provider before purchasing.

Provider Snapshot What to verify
NivoHost Starting plan listed at ₹699/month; one stream handle, 360p at 10 fps, 4 GB RAM and 20 TB bandwidth. The comparison also reports a provider-stated 99% uptime claim. Current and renewal price, exact server location, what “bandwidth” means, plan terms, and what the uptime claim covers. The snapshot does not establish that the plan sustained a stream.
Endercloud Mumbai plan listed from ₹999/month; 3 vCores, 8 GB RAM, 50 GB NVMe, 2 TB bandwidth and a stated 1 Gbps network. Confirm the monthly transfer allowance, overage or fair-use terms, and whether your intended software and workload are permitted. A 1 Gbps port is a capacity label, not a promise of that rate for a month.
VyomCloud Mumbai options listed at ₹360/month (1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM, 0.5 TB traffic, 100 Mbps); ₹1,040/month (2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 2 TB, 250 Mbps); and ₹1,600/month (4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, 5 TB, 250 Mbps). The comparison also reports an advertised latency figure and a 99.5% uptime SLA. Confirm current availability, actual location and traffic terms. The latency figure is not independently measured here; review the SLA scope and remedies rather than treating the percentage as a guarantee of stream quality.

These figures do not support a current price-versus-performance winner. The comparison provides no independent performance tests, real route measurements, confirmed stream run or full SLA terms for the listed options.

Calculate whether the transfer allowance is enough

Monthly transfer and instantaneous network capacity are separate constraints. A plan may have a fast port but too little included monthly traffic for a continuous stream.

As a planning calculation, 1 Mbps sent continuously for 30 days uses about 324 GB in decimal units before protocol overhead. Multiply by the stream bitrate: 8 Mbps is roughly 2.59 TB per 30 days, 10 Mbps about 3.24 TB, and 17 Mbps about 5.51 TB. These are arithmetic estimates, not provider measurements; allow for overhead and other traffic. On that basis, the listed 2 TB example would be below the simple 30-day estimate for a continuous 8 Mbps stream.

  • Ask whether the allowance is monthly, whether uploads and downloads both count, and what happens at the limit.
  • Check for throttling, extra-traffic charges, fair-use limits and renewal terms.
  • Include any required storage, backup, software licence, tax or support charges in your cost comparison.

Choose a bitrate and server path YouTube can sustain

YouTube’s official encoder guidance supports RTMP/RTMPS and lists H.264, H.265/HEVC and AV1. It recommends constant bitrate encoding, supports up to 60 fps, and recommends a two-second keyframe interval (not more than four seconds). Choose the recommendation for the codec and resolution you actually use; do not mix bitrate figures across codecs.

H.264 output YouTube recommended video bitrate
720p30 8 Mbps
720p60 8 Mbps
1080p30 10 Mbps
1080p60 17 Mbps
1440p30 21 Mbps
1440p60 34 Mbps
2160p30 42 Mbps
2160p60 50 Mbps

These are YouTube’s published H.264 recommendations, not a claim that a particular VPS can deliver them. YouTube lists different recommendations and minimums for AV1 and H.265/HEVC, so consult its encoder settings, bitrates and resolutions guidance for the selected codec.

YouTube advises that total stream bitrate fit the available upload bandwidth and recommends 20% headroom. Test the route from the intended server to YouTube ingest under representative conditions; a port-speed label or an India location alone does not establish stable throughput. YouTube warns that connectivity disruption can break a stream. Its streaming tips recommend testing bitrate, using representative audio and motion, and monitoring stream health.

Questions to ask before choosing a provider

  1. Will you pass through or encode? If the file is already encoded and you only need to transmit it, requirements differ from real-time transcoding or scene composition. Do not assume a low-spec VPS can encode your target format.
  2. What is the real monthly transfer budget? Calculate from bitrate and runtime, then confirm fair-use rules, overages, throttling and how traffic is counted.
  3. Can the outbound route hold steady? Ask about the actual VPS location and test sustained upload, packet loss and route to YouTube ingest. A published port speed is not a long-run test.
  4. How does recovery work? Find out whether the encoder restarts after a process crash, host reboot or network interruption, and whether monitoring, alerts or managed recovery are included.
  5. What is the total cost and operating burden? Account for taxes, storage, backups, licences, traffic and support, as well as your time installing and maintaining the encoder.
  6. Is the workload allowed? Confirm that continuous streaming and your chosen software comply with the provider’s terms.

Configure YouTube Live securely

YouTube’s setup requires the encoder’s stream URL and stream key. Treat the key as a password: do not put it in public scripts, screenshots or logs. If it is exposed, use YouTube’s stream-management controls to replace or reset it, then update the encoder configuration.

For a continuous prerecorded broadcast, also check YouTube’s current rules for copyright and reused content. Having a file available does not establish that you own the necessary rights or that a repetitive stream meets YouTube’s monetization policies. Confirm the rights to the video, music and other included material, and review YouTube’s current policy pages before broadcasting.
