Best Indian VPS for a 24/7 YouTube Lofi Radio Stream

There is no independently verified best Indian VPS for a 24/7 YouTube lofi radio stream. The right choice depends on your stream’s bitrate, monthly outbound-transfer allowance, encoding needs, Mumbai availability and route, support, and the provider’s written overage and uptime terms. Treat the options below as a shortlist of vendor-published plans—not tested streaming recommendations.

If you want to keep a prerecorded YouTube stream running without maintaining a VPS or computer, StreamNeo is the cloud alternative: upload a video or playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live.

Shortlist: Indian VPS and a cloud alternative

Provider specifications and claims below come from their own product pages, accessed October 3, 2026. They have not been independently tested for continuous YouTube streaming. The listed plans are not directly comparable: transfer accounting, renewal prices, operating systems, CPU guarantees, taxes, support, and SLA definitions can differ.

StreamNeo — cloud alternative Runs uploaded videos or playlists as an always-on YouTube stream from the cloud. Any quality up to 4K 60fps as uploaded, at one flat price per slot; first day free, no card. It streams uploaded video to YouTube; it is not a VPS and does not stream from a camera. See the cloud section below for included features and pricing.
KryoHost India VPS Offers a Mumbai location and KVM VPS with dedicated vCPU, RAM, and NVMe. Its page lists India VPS starting at $14.99/month; the first tier shows 1 GB RAM and 1 CPU core. It states a 99.99% uptime SLA with credits. Confirm outbound transfer, the chosen plan’s CPU allocation, regional availability, SLA exclusions, and what credits cover. Automated backups and snapshots are not included, according to the page.
Endercloud India VPS Mumbai plans include 8 GB RAM, 3 vCores, 50 GB NVMe, and 2 TB at 1 Gbps for ₹999/month; another lists 16 GB RAM, 4 vCores, 100 GB, and 3 TB for ₹1,999/month. A 1 Gbps port is not an unlimited monthly transfer allowance. Check renewals, overages, acceptable use, and what counts toward the published traffic limit.
Infinitive Cloud VPS Advertises Mumbai AMD EPYC infrastructure. Its Starter plan lists ₹499/month, 2 GB RAM, 1 vCPU, 40 GB NVMe, and 1 TB bandwidth; Business lists ₹999/month, 4 GB RAM, 2 vCores, 80 GB, and 2 TB. The provider advertises 24/7 support and 99.99% uptime. These are vendor-published plan limits and marketing claims, not an independent uptime record or a stream benchmark.
NivoHost streaming RDP A dedicated 24/7 YouTube-streaming offer. RDP 1 lists one stream handle, 360p at 10 fps, 124 kbps audio, 2 CPU cores, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB SSD, and 20 TB bandwidth. The page claims 99% uptime. The source does not establish an India hosting location or independent performance. Check support, Windows/RDP requirements, permitted video settings, and service terms.

The uptime percentages above are different kinds of vendor claims: KryoHost describes an SLA with credits, while NivoHost states an uptime figure. Neither proves that a particular YouTube broadcast will remain live. Infinitive Cloud’s uptime figure is also provider-advertised, not independently verified.

Calculate bandwidth before choosing a plan

A 24/7 stream continuously sends video and audio out of the server. Monthly transfer is usually a more useful sizing figure than port speed alone. The provider’s accounting may include or exclude different traffic, so confirm how outbound data, backup streams, and overages are treated.

At a constant 1 Mbps, a stream sends about 324 GB over 30 days in decimal units, before protocol overhead. This is calculated from the bitrate and 30 days of continuous operation; it is not a YouTube statistic. Multiply by your combined video-and-audio bitrate, then allow for overhead and any backup stream.

Constant total bitrate Approximate outbound transfer over 30 days
1 Mbps 324 GB
3 Mbps 972 GB
4 Mbps 1,296 GB
14 Mbps 4,536 GB

These examples scale the 1 Mbps calculation linearly and exclude protocol overhead. YouTube recommends leaving 20% room above the total bitrate and says available upload bandwidth must carry the stream. If sending a primary and backup stream, the outbound connection must handle both. See YouTube’s streaming tips.

Choose YouTube settings for the actual lofi video

YouTube’s encoder guidance lists RTMP/RTMPS, H.264/H.265/AV1, up to 60 fps, constant bitrate (CBR), and a recommended two-second keyframe interval (no more than four seconds). For stereo audio, it lists AAC or MP3 at 44.1 kHz and 128 kbps. These are platform recommendations; they do not determine how much CPU or RAM a VPS needs. Check YouTube’s current encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions for the exact codec and frame-rate combination you select.

Illustrative H.264 recommendations in YouTube’s table include 360p30 at 0.4 Mbps, 480p30 at 4 Mbps, 720p30 at 3 Mbps, and 1080p30 at 14 Mbps. These figures come from different rows in the table; do not treat them as a quality ladder or mix them with other codec and frame-rate settings. A mostly static or lightly animated lofi visual may not need the highest resolution. Choose settings that look acceptable on real devices, then test the feed and inspect YouTube’s stream health.

YouTube recommends testing with audio and video movement similar to the real broadcast before going live. It automatically transcodes live streams for different viewer formats. For an encrypted connection to YouTube’s ingest server, use RTMPS where your encoder supports it.

How to evaluate and test a VPS

  1. Set the target output. Decide the resolution, frame rate, codec, and whether the visual is static or animated. Use YouTube’s current recommended bitrate row for those exact settings.
  2. Estimate monthly egress. Calculate from the combined audio and video bitrate over 24 hours a day. Add protocol overhead and the bitrate of a backup stream, if you will use one. Compare the result with the provider’s included outbound transfer and written overage or suspension rules.
  3. Check the software requirements. Confirm that the plan’s operating system, CPU, RAM, and remote-management access suit your chosen encoder. The published plan specifications here do not establish that OBS or FFmpeg was tested or will perform adequately on a particular VPS.
  4. Verify location and route. If you want an India-hosted server, confirm the actual region offered for the selected plan. Use a trial instance if available and monitor YouTube stream health, dropped frames, and reconnects over a meaningful test period. A Mumbai location by itself does not prove a better route to YouTube’s ingest servers.
  5. Get failure terms in writing. Ask what happens at host maintenance, resource contention, traffic exhaustion, and reboot. Confirm whether the service can automatically restart the encoder or reconnect the stream, what support covers, and whether any SLA remedy is limited to credits.
  6. Protect the stream key. YouTube says, “Stream keys are like your YouTube stream’s password and address.” Keep the key private, restrict account access, and rotate it if exposed. See Manage live stream settings.
  7. Clear rights for the broadcast. Make sure you have the appropriate rights to every music track and visual you use. No provider choice or streaming setup grants those rights, and the licensing status of a particular track cannot be determined here.

What to look for in provider terms

  • Traffic allowance: Is the stated figure monthly outbound transfer, total transfer, or another measure? What happens when it is exhausted?
  • Renewal and billing: Confirm renewal pricing, billing period, taxes, and any introductory-price conditions at checkout.
  • Compute and operating system: Check vCPU allocation or guarantees, RAM, supported operating systems, and whether you can install and manage the encoder you intend to use.
  • Network and region: Distinguish port speed from monthly traffic allowance, and verify the actual data-center region and route quality.
  • Recovery and support: Ask whether restart and reconnect are automatic, how maintenance is handled, and what support is available for a continuously running workload.
  • SLA details: Read exclusions, measurement periods, and remedies. An uptime claim may apply to infrastructure availability rather than the end-to-end YouTube broadcast.

Or let it run in the cloud

If your goal is a prerecorded lofi stream rather than a live camera feed, StreamNeo avoids keeping a VPS, OBS computer, or home connection running. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo loops the uploaded video from the cloud and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Common problems and fixes

The stream stops when the traffic allowance runs out

Compare calculated monthly egress with the plan’s included outbound traffic and clarify overage or suspension behavior before committing. Port speed does not tell you how much data is included.

YouTube reports dropped frames or an unstable connection

Check the selected bitrate against the VPS’s actual outbound capacity and YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom. Test the route and monitor stream health; a data-center city alone does not guarantee a stable ingest path.

The VPS reboots or the encoder does not reconnect

Ask the provider about maintenance and reboot behavior, and verify whether your setup restarts the encoder and reconnects automatically. An infrastructure uptime statement is not the same as a guarantee that the broadcast resumes.

The video looks poor despite a high resolution

Confirm the codec, frame rate, and bitrate against the matching row in YouTube’s table. For a mostly still visual, test whether a lower setting gives acceptable results rather than assuming the maximum resolution is necessary.

The stream key may have been exposed

Treat it as a password: restrict access and rotate it in YouTube’s live-stream settings if compromised.

Cost and evidence limits

Compare the full recurring cost, not just the first listed monthly figure: renewal price, transfer allowance, potential overages, required operating system, and backup or recovery needs can change the total. Vendor pages provide the plan figures and uptime claims above; no controlled workload test, route measurement, independent SLA audit, or uptime history establishes which provider will keep a specific lofi stream live most reliably.
