For a free-to-play account in Solo Leveling: Arise, the best hunter or weapon is the one that fills a roster gap and fits the encounter—not automatically the highest-ranked option. As a version 1.4.46 snapshot updated October 4, 2026, Pocket Gamer’s Custom Draw shortlist names Min Byung-Gu, Choi Jong-In, Emma Laurent, and Seo Jiwoo for hunters, and Demonic Plum Flower Sword, The Huntsman, Thethis’ Grimoire, and Demon King’s Longsword for weapons. Treat these as candidates, not guaranteed choices: check the live draw screen before spending.
How to choose without wasting scarce resources
Start with the content you want to clear, then compare its demands with your roster. A useful pick may add the right element, damage, break, support, or survivability; a high tier rank alone does not show whether it improves your particular team. The available guides do not provide a complete numerical comparison across those factors, so use them to shortlist rather than to calculate a universal best pick.

- Identify the encounter’s enemy element and mechanics. Elemental advantage can change which hunter is useful. All Things How’s June 2026 guide says a countering element receives a 150% damage bonus and an unfavorable matchup deals 50% damage. - Find the gap in your team. Decide whether you need a damage dealer, breaker, support, or more survivability. A candidate who complements your existing hunters may be more valuable than one with a higher general ranking.
- Check weapon and team fit. Consider whether the weapon supports the intended build and whether the hunter works with the rest of your lineup. A hunter’s default weapon can strengthen that hunter; you do not need to assume every character is unusable without a signature weapon.
- Check the current in-game pool before drawing. Guides are snapshots, and banners and selection options can change. Do not spend based only on a name in an older list.
- Save for a real need. All Things How recommends saving Essence Stones for a high-value unit instead of chasing every release, and treating accumulated pity and event rewards as part of a longer F2P plan. That is a resource strategy, not a guaranteed schedule or promise of a particular number of pulls.
Hunter shortlist for Custom Draw
Pocket Gamer’s version 1.4.46 guide, updated October 4, 2026, names these four hunters as Custom Draw priorities. This is an editorial shortlist, not an official Netmarble recommendation. The list does not establish that every named hunter is selectable in every live draw pool or on every account.

The June 2026 All Things How guide offers broader, older examples rather than a replacement for the October Custom Draw list: it calls supported Tawata Kanae a strong single-target damage choice, Thomas Andre a self-sufficient tank-and-damage option, and Go Gunhee a breaker. Those are the guide’s judgments, and its recommendations assume suitable builds and support. Its date matters: use them as role examples, not proof of the current draw pool.

Weapon shortlist and how to apply it
The same October 2026 Pocket Gamer guide lists four weapon priorities for Custom Draw:
- Demonic Plum Flower Sword
- The Huntsman
- Thethis’ Grimoire
- Demon King’s Longsword
Choose among them with the intended hunter and build in mind, and confirm the weapon is actually selectable before using draw resources. The list does not establish that every weapon is available to every account. Nor does a priority list mean a hunter must obtain a particular weapon before contributing to a team.

Tier lists and banners are time-sensitive. Pocket Gamer labels its October 4, 2026 snapshot as version 1.4.46; recheck it after patches or new releases, and confirm availability in game rather than treating an online list as a live inventory.
