1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsIf you want to apply a lawn or garden concentrate through a garden hose, look for a hose-end metering sprayer, not a tank pump sprayer. The Chapin G362D is a concrete hose-end option with a 32-ounce concentrate tank and 16 mixing ratios; its manufacturer specifications make it a useful model to compare, but do not establish it as the best performer in a head-to-head test.
“Flexible hose lawn sprayer pump” can also mean a separate tank sprayer that you pressurize by hand. The right type depends on whether you want hose-fed mixing or a self-contained sprayer, and on what the chemical label allows.

Hose-end sprayer or tank pump sprayer?
These are different tools, even though both can be called lawn sprayers. A hose-end metering sprayer attaches to a garden hose and mixes concentrate with water as you spray. A tank pump sprayer holds the solution in a separate container that you pressurize. Chapin lists both categories, including hose-end products and 1-gallon and 2-gallon tank sprayers.

|---|---|---|
| Connection and pressure | Connects to a garden hose and uses household water pressure. | Separate tank; the user pressurizes it. |
| Mixing | Can meter concentrate into hose water while spraying. Check that the chemical label permits this application method. | Solution is prepared in the tank according to the product label. |
| Capacity to compare | Concentrate reservoir size and the manufacturer’s stated output. | Tank working volume per fill; Chapin lists 1-gallon and 2-gallon tank sprayer categories. |
| Best-fit use case | Applying a label-approved product where hose access and water pressure are available. | Working without a hose connection or when a self-contained tank is more suitable. |
Neither type is automatically more accurate or more water-efficient. Results depend on the sprayer, settings, operating conditions, and the product directions.

A specification-backed hose-end option: Chapin G362D
Chapin lists the G362D as a 32-ounce professional lawn and garden hose-end sprayer for pesticides, fertilizers, and herbicides. Its manufacturer specification page, accessed in 2026, says it mixes liquid concentrate with hose water during spraying and has a brass mixing head with 16 ratios. It fits standard ¾-inch hose ends and includes an anti-siphon valve; the listed warranty is one year, limited.
Chapin states that the sprayer can spray up to 320 gallons from its 32-ounce tank. Treat that as a manufacturer-stated maximum, not a promised yard coverage figure: output and spray distance depend on water pressure and other conditions. The actual area treated also depends on the product, its label directions, and the selected setting.

- Proudly Made in the USA: Expertly designed and manufactured in the USA with global materials, backed by Chapin’s lifetime limited warranty and supported by a dedicated US-based customer service and technical help centre
The G362D is a sensible option to investigate if a hose-end format suits your setup and its materials, ratios, and instructions match the concentrate you plan to use. The available manufacturer specifications do not establish a comparative best-to-worst ranking or independent performance result, so the model should not be presented as a proven overall winner.

How to choose a hose-end lawn sprayer
Confirm the application method first
Read the label for the exact pesticide, fertilizer, or herbicide. A concentrate may permit use in a hose-end sprayer, a pump sprayer, or several methods, but directions for one product do not apply to every concentrate. The label for the particular product and jurisdiction governs dilution, application site, and safety directions.
Rank #3
- 32-ounce capacity
- Made in the USA with global materials
- Spray water-soluble and liquid concentrates
- Easy to set dial for ounces, tablespoons and teaspoons
- Chemical-resistant construction
Match settings and capacity to the job
Compare how clearly the sprayer identifies its mixing ratios, whether those settings suit the label’s directions, and how much concentrate its reservoir holds. A manufacturer’s gallons-per-fill or area claim is a specification, not a guarantee of coverage in your yard. For the G362D, the stated maximum is up to 320 gallons from 32 ounces, with output affected by pressure and conditions.
Check spray control, materials, and upkeep
Look for the spray pattern and adjustment you need: broad coverage and targeted application are not interchangeable. Check material compatibility against the chemical label, and consider whether seals, cleaning access, and manufacturer instructions fit the intended use. Do not infer compatibility merely because the sprayer is marketed for a broad category of lawn chemicals.

- The Chameleon hose-end sprayer can tackle a wide array of chemical-related gardening needs such fertilizers, weed killers, fungicides and insect killers. The sprayer attaches directly to your hose and to most concentrate bottles
- Direct contact with chemicals is eliminated with the Chameleon hose-end sprayer
- Features 3 spray patterns; fan for general areas, shower for delicate flora, and stream for high places. And includes an instant on-off trigger
- Includes a hose-end quick connect for easy installation to your garden hose and an adjustable dial for precise amount of product needed
- The Chameleon is the faster, easier garden sprayer with three easy steps with no pouring measuring or mixing
Consider water supply and protection features
A hose-end unit depends on a usable hose connection and household water pressure. If those are unavailable or not appropriate for the job, compare a tank pump sprayer instead. If choosing a hose-end unit, check for an anti-siphon or backflow feature; the G362D includes an anti-siphon valve according to Chapin.

Use and clean the sprayer safely
- Read the chemical label. Confirm that the product may be applied with the sprayer type and at the intended site, and follow its dilution, protective-equipment, and application instructions.
- Wear eye protection and avoid windy conditions. Chapin’s instructions say: “Always wear eye protection. Do not spray during windy conditions.”
- Apply only as directed. Use the sprayer’s settings in accordance with the label; do not assume one ratio or application method is suitable for every product.
- Clean the sprayer thoroughly after each use. Chapin specifically instructs users to clean it after use. Its guidance also warns that using multiple chemicals in one sprayer can cause cross-contamination even when the sprayer is cleaned.
- Do not leave product stored in the unit. Chapin says not to store chemicals or product in the sprayer while it is not in use. Follow the sprayer manufacturer’s care instructions and the chemical label for handling any remaining solution.
