The older games have the deepest reported percentage cuts in this group. That does not automatically make them the best value: a percentage is measured against a title’s own price, while your local checkout price is what you will pay. For Resident Evil Requiem, the $48.99 figure is specifically a reported U.S. Steam price, not a worldwide price.

Best pick for co-op: The Outlast Trials
Among the listed games, The Outlast Trials is the clearest recommendation for players looking for a co-op horror game. Steam classifies it with the tags “Horror,” “Multiplayer,” “Co-op,” and “Survival Horror.” GameWatcher reported it at 90% off during the sale. Confirm the current local listing before purchasing.

Steam tags Resident Evil Requiem as “Survival Horror,” “Zombies,” “Horror,” and “Third-Person Shooter.” The sale roundup reported that it was discounted, while Steam and PC Gamer reported a U.S. sale price of $48.99 against a $69.99 regular price, a 30% reduction. Treat those as sale-time U.S. figures; the sources do not establish regional equivalents.
How to check the deal before you buy
- Open the game’s Steam store page while signed in or browsing the store for your region.
- Check the displayed price and discount on that page. Do not assume a reported percentage or U.S. dollar price applies to your account’s region.
- If comparing titles, compare the actual local prices as well as the discount percentages; the percentages are reductions from each game’s own price.
- For a series purchase, inspect any publisher bundle shown on Steam. A bundle may be useful, but it is not guaranteed to be cheaper in every region or during this sale.
Valve’s seasonal-sale documentation says released games on Steam can participate in seasonal sales. It also says discounts of 20% or more can trigger email notifications for players who have wishlisted a game, and that discounted titles may appear in Steam specials based on tags, popularity, and recommendations. Valve notes that front-page selections refresh regularly, so a prominent placement can change during the event.

Valve’s official event schedule lists the Steam Autumn Sale as running October 1–8, 2026, beginning at 10 a.m. Pacific. The sale ends October 8; check the displayed end time and live price on Steam rather than relying on an older roundup.
