In the options compared here, eDesk is described by its own published comparison as offering native Amazon and eBay connections with order details on tickets. Gorgias, Zendesk, and Freshdesk can serve different kinds of teams, but their marketplace workflows rely on a partner integration, bridge, or plugin in the reviewed material. Replyco is aimed more directly at marketplace inbox consolidation.
Those distinctions matter as much as the advertised monthly rate. The eDesk comparisons are vendor-authored, not independent tests, and the rates below are dated figures reported by eDesk as verified in July or August 2026—not current quotes. Confirm the exact channels, message types, plan coverage, and total cost before choosing.
How to compare help desks for Amazon and eBay
A marketplace connection is not automatically equivalent to a native marketplace integration. A third-party bridge can route messages into a help desk, but it adds a separate dependency and may support only some message types. Before comparing features, establish which system receives each message and where an agent’s reply appears.
- Connection type: Is Amazon or eBay connected directly, through a partner integration, through a plugin, or by forwarding email?
- Message coverage: Which buyer and seller message categories can the system retrieve? Can agents reply from the help desk, and does that reply appear in the marketplace account?
- Order context: Can agents see the order ID, purchased item, tracking information, and customer details on the ticket?
- Team workflow: Check assignment, response-time or SLA tools, reporting, access controls, and audit history against the way your team works.
- Total operating cost: Include seats or ticket allowances, marketplace connectors, AI usage, omnichannel features, and peak-season volume—not just the entry price.
For the Gorgias route, the Gorgias Help Center’s July 23, 2026 documentation says the ChannelReply integration is partner-built. It describes marketplace buyer messages becoming Gorgias tickets and order information appearing in a widget. It also qualifies that Amazon, eBay, and most major marketplaces generally allow buyer messages to be pulled through the API, not seller messages in the same way. The documentation advises replying through the help desk if sellers want messages to appear in both Gorgias and Seller Central. It also warns that technical support wait times for the partner integration may be longer than for a regular support request. Marketplace permissions and current integration behavior can change, so confirm the exact workflow for your accounts.

All listed rates are figures reported in eDesk-published comparisons, not independently verified quotes. They may vary by region, plan, billing term, later price changes, add-ons, minimum seats, and taxes. The comparison’s AI figures were $0.99 per completed outcome for eDesk AI Agent and $0.90–$1.00 per Gorgias AI resolution; eDesk also said Gorgias AI resolutions count against the ticket allowance. Treat those as eDesk-reported August 2026 figures, not universal current rates.
1. eDesk: marketplace-first support with reported native connections
eDesk is the most directly marketplace-oriented option in this comparison for sellers who also operate a webstore. Its own August 2026 comparison describes Amazon and eBay connections as native and says order details are attached to tickets. That can reduce the steps an agent takes to identify the order behind a question, though the claim is vendor-published and should be checked against the seller’s specific marketplace accounts and plan.
Plans and costs reported
eDesk reported Essential at $39 per agent/month, Growth at $89, and Professional at $119 in its August 2026 comparison. Its comparison also listed AI Agent at $0.99 per completed outcome. These figures do not establish the seller’s full bill, and the AI charge is usage-based rather than a substitute for the base plan price.
Tradeoffs and fit
Consider eDesk when a meaningful share of support originates in marketplaces and agents need order context alongside conversations. Its commercial interest in presenting itself favorably means its native-integration and comparative claims deserve direct confirmation. Ask to see the precise Amazon and eBay message categories, ticket fields, and reply behavior included for the plan under consideration.

2. Gorgias: a Shopify-first desk with a ChannelReply marketplace route
Gorgias is positioned in the comparison for Shopify-first or Shopify-only direct-to-consumer teams. For Amazon and eBay, the reviewed route is ChannelReply, a partner integration—not a direct native connection described in the comparison. Gorgias documentation says the integration can turn marketplace buyer messages into tickets and show order information in a widget.
Message and support limitations
The Gorgias Help Center explains that the integration is partner-built and that troubleshooting may take longer than for a standard support request. It also says marketplace APIs generally expose buyer messages for retrieval rather than seller messages. Its stated workaround is to reply through the help desk when the seller wants the response to appear in both Gorgias and Seller Central. This makes a live workflow demonstration especially important if agents depend on seller-initiated messages or need a particular reply path.
Price reported and fit
eDesk’s August 2026 comparison reported a Gorgias setup at $10/month for 50 tickets with unlimited seats. It also reported AI resolutions at $0.90–$1.00 each, counted against the ticket allowance. Those are setup-specific figures reported by a vendor competitor, not a current Gorgias quote. Gorgias is a plausible fit when Shopify is the primary support context and marketplace buyer-message handling through a partner connector is sufficient.
3. Zendesk: broader support workflows with a marketplace connector
Zendesk is the option described for a larger team whose support needs extend beyond ecommerce. The eDesk comparison says Amazon and eBay connections use a third-party connector such as ChannelReply. It also characterizes bridge-based connections as potentially lacking the automatic order context of a native connection; that is an eDesk-authored comparison, not an independent test.

Plans and tradeoffs
eDesk reported Zendesk Support Team at $19 per agent/month, Suite Team at $55, and Suite Professional at $115 in August 2026. A marketplace connector is an additional part of the setup, so those plan prices alone do not represent the complete marketplace-support cost. For a complex operation, compare connector maintenance and order context alongside Zendesk’s broader workflow configuration rather than assuming the help desk plan includes marketplace support.
Who should consider it
Zendesk may suit an organization handling several support functions or channels beyond Amazon and eBay. It is less straightforward when the primary requirement is a low-maintenance marketplace inbox with order details immediately available, because the reviewed route depends on an external connector.
4. Freshdesk: an email-first option for smaller teams
Freshdesk is described as a lower-entry-barrier choice for a smaller, email-first team with limited marketplace volume. In eDesk’s comparison, the Amazon and eBay route uses a plugin or bridge. The same vendor-authored comparison warns that a bridge may not provide the same automatic order context as a native connection; validate this against actual tickets rather than inferring capability from the general plan description.
Plans and tradeoffs
eDesk reported Freshdesk Growth at $19, Pro at $55, and Enterprise at $89 per agent/month on annual billing in July 2026. The comparison does not establish that these plans include every marketplace order field or omnichannel feature a seller may need. Include any required plugin or bridge in the cost estimate, along with its support and maintenance arrangements.

Who should consider it
Freshdesk is worth considering when email is the main support channel and Amazon or eBay conversations are a smaller share of the workload. If marketplace tickets dominate, the integration route and visibility of order details become central requirements, not optional extras.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.5. Replyco: marketplace inbox consolidation for smaller sellers
Replyco is described in the comparison as a marketplace-focused option for smaller sellers who want to consolidate marketplace conversations. The eDesk comparison characterizes Replyco’s ecosystem as narrower than that of larger platforms. The reviewed material does not establish a price, specific channel-by-channel coverage, or detailed order fields, so none should be assumed from the marketplace-focused description alone.
Tradeoffs and fit
Replyco may belong on a shortlist when consolidating marketplace support is the central job and a broad general-purpose service platform is unnecessary. During evaluation, verify which marketplace accounts and message categories it supports, whether agents can reply from the inbox, what order and tracking data is shown, and whether the team can add the webstore and non-marketplace channels it expects to use.
How to choose for your seller setup
Marketplace-heavy seller with a webstore
Start by examining eDesk’s claimed native Amazon and eBay connections and order details on tickets. Compare that with Replyco if a marketplace-centered inbox is the main need. In either case, ask for a demonstration using the seller’s actual marketplace accounts and sample tickets.

Shopify-first direct-to-consumer team
Gorgias may be a better fit for the Shopify-centered workflow described in the comparison. Treat Amazon and eBay support as a separate integration decision: verify ChannelReply’s supported message types, order widget fields, reply synchronization, and support route.
Small, email-first operation
Freshdesk may suit teams with modest marketplace volume and a primarily email-based queue. Build the plugin or bridge into the workflow and cost evaluation, and confirm that the order context visible to agents is sufficient for common cases such as delivery questions and returns.
Large or cross-functional support organization
Zendesk is the broader-workflow candidate in the reviewed options. Compare its connector’s coverage and operating overhead with the value of managing support needs beyond ecommerce in the same system.
Evaluate the workflow and full cost before onboarding
- Map channels and accounts. List every Amazon and eBay account, current webstore, email inbox, social channel, and planned launch. Mark which conversations should enter the help desk.
- Sample real tickets. Group recent cases into order status, returns, delivery, product questions, and account issues. Include unusual cases and peak-volume examples, not just easy buyer questions.
- Identify the connection path. For each channel, record whether it connects natively, through a partner integration, plugin, or forwarded email. Ask who handles API changes and integration failures.
- Inspect order context. Have the vendor show an actual ticket with order ID, item, tracking, and customer information. Note any fields agents must still look up elsewhere.
- Test replies and synchronization. Send a representative test response from the help desk and confirm where it appears in the marketplace. Check whether different message categories follow different rules.
- Compare total cost at normal and peak volume. Use current seat count, anticipated tickets, connector charges, AI usage, required omnichannel features, billing term, and seasonal volume. Per-agent and ticket-volume pricing can change differently as headcount or incoming cases grow.
- Run a finalist trial with real work. Record setup effort, missing order context, assignment and reporting behavior, and the escalation route when a connector fails.
- Confirm governance. Before onboarding, ask about access controls, audit history, data retention, and privacy requirements that apply to the seller.
As of October 2026, the listed commercial figures are historical comparison prices, not guaranteed current rates. Check official vendor pricing and integration documentation for the seller’s region, plan, billing cadence, taxes, and add-ons before purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which of these tools has native Amazon and eBay integration?
eDesk’s own comparison describes eDesk’s Amazon and eBay connections as native and says order details appear on tickets. The other routes in the reviewed material use a partner integration, bridge, or plugin, or are described generally as marketplace-focused. Confirm coverage for the exact accounts and message types you use.
Does the Gorgias–ChannelReply integration handle seller messages the same way as buyer messages?
No such equivalence is established in Gorgias’s documentation. It says marketplace APIs generally allow buyer messages to be pulled, not seller messages in the same way, and recommends replying through the help desk when the seller wants replies to appear in both Gorgias and Seller Central.
Why can a low starting price be misleading for marketplace support?
A base subscription may not include the connector, AI usage, or channel features needed for the seller’s workflow. Ticket allowances and per-agent charges also scale differently, so compare the cost at both ordinary and expected peak volume.
