1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesIf your YouTube radio channel needs an uploaded playlist to run continuously, StreamNeo is the first alternative to consider: it loops uploaded videos from the cloud, keeps running with your computer off, and offers any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, with the first day free. If you only need a prerecorded daily show to start at a set time, StreamYard documents that scheduled-broadcast workflow. OBS Studio is the do-it-yourself option when you are willing to keep a computer and connection running. These are different workflows, not interchangeable feature sets.
Choose by broadcast pattern, not by the word “alternative”
A daily playlist can mean either a show that starts once each day or a continuous radio-style stream that loops. The first may end after its program; the second is intended to keep broadcasting and repeat content. Decide which outcome you need before comparing services.

2. Gyre: cloud playlist looping and scheduling
Gyre describes a workflow in which creators upload files, arrange them into a playlist, schedule a continuous stream and let the playlist loop. Its product page also advertises multiple platforms and concurrent streams. A Gyre feature article says creators can set a start time, an end time or both, and edit playlist content while a stream is running. These are Gyre’s descriptions of its own product, not independent tests of performance or reliability. Check Gyre’s current plan terms for platform count, storage, duration and pricing before choosing it.

3. StreamYard: scheduled prerecorded broadcasts
StreamYard’s help documentation describes scheduling broadcasts to YouTube and using a prerecorded video as the source. Its documentation says a scheduled video can go live at the selected time even when the creator is offline. That makes it relevant for a daily scheduled program; the cited documentation does not establish an endless playlist loop, so verify that capability directly if looping is essential. Current price and plan limits are not established here.
4. OBS Studio: a self-managed desktop encoder
YouTube supports sending a live stream through an encoder, and OBS Studio is a free desktop option described in Gyre’s comparison material. Unlike a cloud service, this method depends on your own running computer, internet connection and encoder process. You must handle interruptions and restarts yourself. A mini PC for OBS streaming is only a possible hardware purchase for this route, not a requirement for cloud services; no particular model or specification is established here.

Set up the daily workflow you actually need
For a continuous playlist loop
- Prepare the program. Assemble the recordings in the intended order and check that you have the rights to every video and music track. Decide whether the playlist should repeat indefinitely or whether you need a defined end time.
- Choose a looping workflow. For a cloud service, upload the files and arrange the playlist in its dashboard. For OBS, prepare a local playback source and configure the encoder; keep the computer and connection available for the entire stream.
- Connect YouTube. In YouTube Studio, create or schedule the live stream and use its stream key in the encoder or service that is sending the broadcast. Treat the stream key as a password: do not publish it or share it with people who should not control the stream.
- Set viewer-facing details. Add a clear title, description, thumbnail and audience setting in YouTube’s live setup. A scheduled stream may appear to subscribers as upcoming, and viewers may opt into a notification.
- Test before relying on the schedule. Confirm that the selected video or playlist plays, the YouTube preview receives the stream, and the sound and picture are correct. For a daily program, check the start and stop behavior and who will respond if the stream fails.
For one scheduled prerecorded show
- Create a scheduled YouTube broadcast. Set the intended date and start time in YouTube’s live workflow or the service you use to schedule it.
- Select the prerecorded source. In a supported workflow such as the one documented by StreamYard, choose the video that should air at the scheduled time.
- Check the listing and notification experience. Review the YouTube title, description and scheduled time; YouTube may show the event as upcoming and let viewers request a reminder.
- Confirm the required ending behavior. A scheduled show and a continuous looping playlist are not the same thing. Verify duration, stopping and any repeat behavior with the service before depending on it.
For OBS, expect to operate the stream yourself
- Use YouTube’s encoder setup. Create the live stream in YouTube Studio, configure the encoder with the stream key, and select the intended video source in OBS.
- Keep the broadcast path running. The computer must remain on, OBS must continue sending the stream, and the network must remain available. Plan who can restart the encoder if the machine, connection or broadcast stops.
- Monitor and validate. Check YouTube’s incoming preview and confirm the scheduled listing and program content. YouTube’s encoder guide and live settings help explain stream keys, metadata and encoder configuration.
Or let it run in the cloud
Upload your video or playlist, add the YouTube stream key, and go live with StreamNeo. Nothing has to stay on at home; uploaded content streams at its original quality up to 4K 60fps at one price per slot, and StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly is $9.99 per month.

Do not count on a complete archive of a long continuous stream
YouTube Help says, “If your live stream is less than 12 hours, YouTube can automatically archive it for you.” It also warns, “If your stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all.” If you need a dependable replay, keep a separate recording or divide programming into shorter scheduled sessions; a 24/7 broadcast is not a guaranteed complete archive.

Looping does not guarantee monetization eligibility
YouTube’s monetization policies apply to live streams and expect original, authentic content. The policy says content should not be mass-produced, generic, repetitive or manipulative; YouTube’s July 15, 2025 clarification renamed “repetitious content” as “inauthentic content.” Reusing your own material does not by itself establish that a channel qualifies. A streaming service cannot grant monetization eligibility.

Secure the rights to every track and recording
YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the content provider to have rights for worldwide use of live material, including necessary music rights involving artists, labels, publishers and other rights holders. A radio-style playlist should contain only material you are entitled to stream. Buying access to a track or using a streaming tool does not itself provide livestream rights.
Compare the operational details before paying
Playlist looping, scheduling and operating responsibility are the clearest distinctions in the documented workflows. Complete current plan limits are not consistently established across the cited service documentation, so check each provider’s current terms rather than assuming feature parity.
| Option | Playlist behavior established | Scheduling established | What runs the stream | Current cost and limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | 24/7 looping and playlists | Not stated here | Cloud service | Prices shown above; storage is 10 GB per slot, pooled across active slots |
| Gyre | Vendor describes looping playlists | Vendor describes start time, end time or both | Cloud service, per vendor description | Verify current plan prices and limits with Gyre |
| StreamYard | Continuous playlist looping not established by cited documentation | Scheduled prerecorded YouTube broadcasts documented | Service handles a scheduled prerecorded broadcast, per its documentation | Verify current plan prices and limits with StreamYard |
| OBS Studio | Local playback workflow; automatic playlist-loop details not established here | YouTube scheduling can be paired with encoder setup | Your computer, OBS and network connection | OBS is described as free desktop software; hardware and operating costs depend on your setup |
Troubleshooting common workflow failures
- The stream never starts at the scheduled time: confirm the event time and time zone, that the correct prerecorded source is selected, and that the service supports unattended start for this workflow.
- YouTube shows no incoming signal: check that the correct stream key is configured and that the encoder or cloud service is actively sending. If the key may have been exposed, replace it in YouTube and update the sending service.
- The playlist ends instead of repeating: check the playlist’s repeat or continuous-loop setting. Do not assume that a scheduled prerecorded broadcast automatically becomes a continuous loop.
- A local OBS stream stops: check whether the computer slept, OBS closed, the network disconnected or the stream key changed. Restore the encoder connection and confirm the live preview before considering the broadcast recovered.
- The replay is missing or incomplete: a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured by YouTube. Use a separate recording or shorter sessions if a complete archive matters.
- Music is claimed, blocked or interrupted: review the rights for each track and recording. A playlist’s availability or a service subscription does not establish permission to stream it.
Bottom line
For an uninterrupted YouTube radio channel that needs a daily playlist to loop, choose a cloud-looping service rather than assuming a scheduled prerecorded broadcast will do the same job. StreamNeo is the first option to try for cloud looping; Gyre also describes playlist looping and scheduling. Use StreamYard when the need is a scheduled prerecorded show, or OBS when you want a self-operated desktop encoder.
