Best Guns of Eschaton Settings for Smoother Gameplay and Better Visibility

If Guns of Eschaton is running poorly, the official temporary advice is to open Settings → Graphics and manually select the Low or Medium preset. For visibility, check whether your installed build currently offers a field-of-view (FOV) control: the official community post says FOV feedback was passed to the team, but does not confirm that an FOV slider is available.

Use the official Low or Medium graphics workaround

The official Guns of Eschaton Steam Community post recommends manually choosing Low or Medium under Settings → Graphics while a fix is in progress. Select one of those presets if you are experiencing low FPS, then see how the game behaves on your own PC.

  1. Open the game’s Settings.
  2. Choose Graphics.
  3. Manually select Low or Medium.
  4. Try the game again and compare smoothness and visual clarity on your system.

This is temporary official guidance, not a guaranteed fix. No controlled benchmark, FPS gain, affected hardware list, or specific build number has been published, so there is no evidence-based way to promise a particular result or say which of the two presets will work best on every PC.

Check the current build for FOV options

A wider field of view can change how much of the scene fits on screen, but the cited official post does not confirm that the current demo has an FOV slider or recommend a particular value. It says: “We’ve also seen your feedback about FOV and passed it on to the dev team.” Treat that as confirmation that the feedback was received—not confirmation that a setting has been added.

Open the settings available in your installed version and use an FOV control only if it is actually listed. Do not assume that brightness, contrast, motion blur, shadows, anti-aliasing, or resolution scaling controls are present; the cited sources do not establish the current menu inventory.

Check your PC against the published minimum requirements

The Steam store listing gives the minimum graphics requirement as an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB or an AMD Radeon RX Vega 56. These are published system requirements, not performance measurements and not proof that a graphics-card upgrade is necessary to try the Low or Medium workaround. Compare your hardware with the current listing before drawing conclusions about a PC below specification.

Recheck settings as the demo changes

Guns of Eschaton is a first-person shooter whose Steam listing currently says it is not yet available. Its demo guidance and options may evolve, so check the menu in your installed build and follow official Steam Community updates for changes. Steam describes solo, co-op, PvP, and controller support; those features do not establish additional graphics controls.

Keep graphics settings separate from difficulty

An Eschatology Entertainment response in a Reddit AMA says, “No, the game doesn’t have difficulty settings.” That addresses difficulty—not graphics performance—so it does not change the Low or Medium preset advice.
