The best documented settings for Tales of Symphonia Remastered are platform display modes, not a detailed graphics menu: Nintendo Switch outputs 1080p in TV mode or 720p in handheld/tabletop mode, while Bandai Namco lists the game at 30 FPS on Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. The publisher does not document a 60 FPS option. Choose Switch TV mode when 1080p output is your priority; use handheld or tabletop mode for portable play.
Which settings should you use?
Bandai Namco’s published specifications make platform and display mode the meaningful choices. They do not describe a user-adjustable graphics menu or resolution slider for this release, so there is no documented preset recipe to apply.

Bandai Namco’s Japanese product site describes the console output as a maximum of 2K. Its listed resolution is 1920×1080; that should not be read as a 4K specification. Is there a 60 FPS setting?
Bandai Namco lists 30 FPS for Switch, PS4, and Xbox One, and describes the Steam version as running at 30 FPS. The reviewed official sources do not document a supported 60 FPS option. They also do not say that backward compatibility on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S raises the frame rate, so a newer console should not be treated as a documented 60 FPS upgrade.
The Japanese product page notes FPS stabilization for certain techniques at 30 FPS. That is a description of a specific improvement, not a selectable frame-rate mode.

What the remaster changes visually
Bandai Namco describes Tales of Symphonia Remastered as an enhanced version of Tales of Symphonia, with sharper visuals than the earlier Tales of Symphonia Chronicles and Steam releases, including enhanced character models and environments. These are the publisher’s descriptions; the cited specifications do not quantify visual differences or establish how every scene compares across platforms. See the official product page.

The remaster also includes quality-of-life changes such as improved sea-travel controls, the ability to skip some events and cutscenes, and extra date information on the save screen. Some scenes cannot be skipped. Those changes affect convenience, not a documented graphics or frame-rate setting.
