For motorcycle POV footage, GoPro’s HERO13 Black is the best-supported choice in the company’s current motorcycle materials. It records up to 5.3K60 and includes HyperSmooth 6.0 stabilization, but those are manufacturer specifications—not proof that it outperforms other cameras on the road. Your next choice is the view: helmet-side, chest-level, or mounted to the bike.
Why HERO13 Black is the strongest documented fit
GoPro features HERO13 Black on its motorcycle camera page, alongside MAX2 and HERO. The available product details are not comparable enough to rank those cameras fairly against one another, so HERO13 Black is the clearest recommendation supported by the manufacturer—not an independently tested winner.

GoPro lists up to 5.3K60 video, 4K120, 2.7K120, and 1080p240 recording modes, plus HyperSmooth 6.0 stabilization. It also specifies waterproofing to 33 feet and built-in mounting fingers and 1/4-20 threads. These are specifications, not a guarantee of footage quality on a particular motorcycle, road, or mount. Mount position changes what the footage shows and how much of the rider or bike appears in frame. GoPro describes several mounting approaches, but no mount is established here as compatible with every helmet or safe in every configuration.

Helmet-side mount: rider-eye perspective
GoPro describes a helmet-side ball-joint mount that lets you adjust the camera angle. Its guidance is to preview framing in the Quik app before riding; lining up the camera lens with the goggle lens usually produces the intended angle. Check the helmet maker’s instructions before attaching anything, and do not assume an adhesive or clamp is appropriate for every helmet.
Chest harness: rider and controls in frame
A chest harness captures a hands-free view from the rider’s torso. GoPro describes its harness as adjustable and recommends placing the camera upside down for its suggested angle. This perspective can include more of the rider and motorcycle controls than a helmet-side view.

Handlebar mount: bike-mounted view
A handlebar mount provides a fixed bike perspective. GoPro says its mount rotates 360 degrees, allowing forward- or rear-facing framing. Set and check the angle before the ride; the manufacturer describes it as clamping to the handlebars, but the available information does not establish fit for every bar or motorcycle.

Adhesive mounts: flat or curved surfaces
GoPro’s adhesive-mount six-pack includes curved and flat mounts intended for locations such as a helmet, chin guard, or motorcycle. The intended surface and helmet-maker guidance matter; the existence of an adhesive accessory is not evidence that every attachment location or configuration is suitable.

When the Ultra Wide Lens Mod makes sense
The optional HERO13 Black Ultra Wide Lens Mod is for riders who want a broader view. GoPro lists a 177-degree field of view and says it expands the field of view by 36% wider and 48% taller than standard-lens footage under its stated comparison. Those are manufacturer figures; a wider perspective may suit scenery or bike-and-rider framing, but it is not a substitute for testing composition before riding. Details appear on the camera product page and in GoPro’s 2024 announcement.

Enduro battery
The HERO13 Black’s 1900mAh Enduro battery is camera-specific and is not compatible with older GoPros. GoPro states up to 2.5 hours of continuous recording under its stated conditions. Its 2024 announcement gives more specific test figures: up to 2.5 hours at 1080p30 and 1.5 hours at 4K30 or 5.3K30. These are manufacturer test results, not a promise of runtime while riding; the cited figures do not establish runtime for every mode or use condition. Check the product page and announcement.
USB-C power option
GoPro describes its Contacto Magnetic Door and Power Cable Kit as a way to power HERO13 Black from a USB-C source through a magnetic door. Consider it only if an external power setup suits your planned recording; the cited product information does not establish a particular motorcycle wiring setup or riding runtime.

What the Moto Bundle includes
GoPro’s motorcycle page lists a Moto Bundle containing HERO13 Black, Ultra Wide Lens Mod, adhesive mounts, Helmet Front + Side Mount, and a camera case. Bundle contents can vary by market and change, so check the live listing in your region before buying. The same page features HERO13 Black alongside MAX2 and HERO, but the available specifications do not support a fair model-by-model ranking.
Is GoPro extremely popular among motorcycle riders?
GoPro’s motorcycle and powersports pages show that the company markets cameras and mounts for riding use, but they do not establish how many riders use them or whether they are popular worldwide. No adoption survey, sales figure, or market-share statistic is cited here, so popularity should not be treated as a verified global trend.
