Contra’s appeal is less about building a toolkit of weapon combinations and more about executing a familiar run-and-gun loop cleanly. You move, fire, avoid hazards, recognise an enemy arrangement and repeat the sequence until it becomes reliable. 1. Verify the regional title

2. Ask for clear photographs

4. Confirm save behavior and testing
Ask whether the cartridge has been tested on compatible Game Boy Advance hardware and whether saving was checked. A game that boots is not necessarily a game that retains saves. The seller should state what was tested and when; if that information is absent, treat save reliability as unknown.
5. Inspect region and compatibility details
Check that the cartridge format matches your system and that the seller ships the regional version you expect. Region labels, box art and title names can differ, so compare all three rather than relying on a shortened listing title.
