As of October 13, 2026, two verified free-to-keep games are still within their reported claim window: Out of Sight and TerraScape on the Epic Games Store for PC. Both are reported free through October 15, but check the live Epic listing for your account and region before checkout because weekly offers can change.
Free games to claim now
PC Gamer’s October 8 update lists these two Epic Games Store games as free to keep from October 8 through October 15, 2026. The reported window is open on October 13. Epic’s official page confirms that it runs weekly free-game promotions, but its extracted listing does not independently confirm these specific titles. PC Gamer’s current free-games listing and Epic’s free-games page are useful checks before claiming.

| Game | Platform and access | Reported claim period | What it is | Usual price listed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Out of Sight | Epic Games Store, PC; reported free to keep | October 8–15, 2026 | Horror puzzle game about Sophie, a blind girl who sees through her teddy bear’s eyes | $14.99 |
| TerraScape | Epic Games Store, PC; reported free to keep | October 8–15, 2026 | Medieval city-building puzzle game with single-player and multiplayer modes | $16.99 |
The prices are the usual prices listed by PC Gamer, not a promise of the price in every region or storefront. The available reporting does not specify an exact cutoff time or time zone for October 15. Treat the date as a deadline, not a guarantee that the offer remains available through the end of that day.
How to claim an Epic weekly game
- Open the Epic Games Store free-games page and select the offer for the game you want.
- Confirm the game is marked free in your storefront and that the offer has not expired. Availability can vary by region.
- Sign in to the Epic account you want associated with the game, then complete the $0 checkout or claim flow shown on the page.
- Check your library for the game. A free-to-keep claim adds an entitlement to that account; it is different from temporary access during a free weekend.
Epic says it offers a new free game every Thursday on mobile and PC. That cadence does not establish which title will be available in a particular region or the exact changeover time, so rely on the live promotion listing rather than assuming a deadline from the calendar alone. See Epic’s free-game page.

What “free” means on a game listing
- Free to keep: A limited-time promotion lets you claim a game for no purchase price during its claim window. Once claimed, it remains associated with your account under that store’s terms.
- Free-to-play: The game itself is available without an upfront purchase. This is not the same as a temporary giveaway; optional purchases may still exist.
- Demo: A sample of a game, not the full game entitlement.
- Free weekend or trial: Temporary access that ends when the event does. Playing during the window does not by itself mean you own the game.
- Subscription catalog: Access depends on an active subscription and the title remaining in the catalog. It is not a permanent free claim.
Epic’s store separates weekly promotions from its free-to-play catalog and demos. Its free-to-play listings include games such as Fortnite, Rocket League, Genshin Impact, and Fall Guys; those are not the current free-to-keep offers above. Check Epic’s listing categories here.

Quick Recap
Best Value
- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.

- Steam: An October 10 roundup reported Pony Island free to keep through October 12, plus free weekends for ARC Raiders, Core Keeper, and Squad 44. Those dates were expired or expiring by October 13. Check the current Steam listings rather than relying on that roundup.
- Xbox: Xbox Wire announced an October 1–4 Free Play Days event with Far Cry 6, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Skull and Bones, and The Crew Motorfest. That event is over. Xbox said Game Pass membership was not required for that particular event; that condition should not be assumed for other Free Play Days promotions. Read the Xbox Wire announcement.
- PlayStation and Prime Gaming/Amazon Luna: An October 8 cross-platform roundup mixes subscription catalog titles, giveaways, and limited-time offers, and does not establish a current October 13 lineup or eligibility for either service. Use it as a discovery lead, then confirm each offer on the platform’s official listing.
Check these details before you claim
- Platform: Confirm that the offer is for your device or store. The two confirmed picks here are PC offers on Epic, not console claims.
- Deadline: Verify the live end date and time on the offer page; the reported October 15 date does not include a time zone.
- Access type: Look for wording that indicates a permanent claim rather than a demo, free weekend, trial, or subscription catalog entry.
- Account and region: Sign in and confirm the $0 price appears for your account and storefront region before completing checkout.
