When Edge’s built-in Screenshot is the right answer
Edge is the simplest Windows 10 workflow because there is no extension permission to review and no separate installer. On a normal webpage, open the page menu with a right-click and choose Screenshot, or open Settings and more (the three-dot menu) and choose Screenshot. Microsoft also documents the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+S.
Choose the option for a full-page capture rather than only the visible area. Edge then presents markup tools and actions to copy or save the result. Before saving, scroll through the preview and check that the bottom of the document is present; a page that loads content only after interaction may need to be opened and allowed to finish loading first.

Edge limitations to expect
- The command may be named or placed differently in an older Edge build, and Microsoft cautions that availability and behavior vary by device, market and browser version.
- This is a webpage feature, not a promise that every desktop application, PDF reader window or protected surface can be captured as one continuous page.
- Sticky navigation bars, animated components and lazy-loaded media can appear differently in the final image because the page is being rendered while it is captured.
GoFullPage: the documented Chrome extension choice
Install GoFullPage only from its official Chrome Web Store listing. The listing describes a process that scrolls through the page, captures successive sections and assembles them. It also claims support for inner scrollable elements and embedded iframes, then offers PNG, JPEG or PDF export. Those are product-listing claims, not results from an independent Windows 10 test.
The listing reports version 8.7 from Full Page LLC and an update on September 10, 2026. Versions and store interfaces can change, so check the listing immediately before installation.
Capture a full page with GoFullPage
- Open the target webpage in Chrome and wait for its visible content to finish loading.
- Select the GoFullPage icon in Chrome’s toolbar. If it is hidden, open the Extensions menu and pin it.
- Let the extension scroll and assemble the page. Do not switch tabs or interact with the page while it is working.
- Review the assembled result, then choose PNG, JPEG or PDF and save it to a known folder.
Close cookie dialogs, newsletter prompts and chat panels before starting. An overlay can be captured as part of the page or interrupt the scrolling sequence. For very long pages, keep the tab open until the result is displayed and confirm that the final section is present before closing it.
Cases GoFullPage may not capture correctly
GoFullPage’s official FAQ specifically calls out PDFs and sites that implement scrolling with custom JavaScript as potential problems. A PDF viewed inside a browser tab is not necessarily an ordinary HTML document, and a custom scroll container may not move when the extension sends normal page-scroll commands. An embedded frame or inner panel can also have its own loading and access rules even though the listing says these structures are supported.

The FireShot Pro manual documents more capture scopes than a basic full-page button: the entire page, a selected area, the visible area, the browser window or all tabs. It also describes editing and export workflows after capture. That makes FireShot worth considering when your job alternates between long webpages and precise regions.
Do not treat the manual as proof of current Windows 10 support, a current price or a particular store listing. Confirm those details on the developer’s current download and licensing pages before deploying it on a work PC. The manual alone does not establish those commercial or compatibility facts.
Choose by the page you are capturing
Ordinary, document-style webpages
Start with Edge Screenshot when you are already in Edge. In Chrome, GoFullPage is the documented extension path. These pages generally have one document scrollbar and predictable sections, so a scroll-and-assemble workflow is appropriate.
Pages with a dashboard or inner panel
Identify which area actually scrolls. If the outer page stays fixed while a panel moves, select or focus that panel first and check the result carefully. GoFullPage says it supports inner scrollable elements, but support does not guarantee that every framework or nested panel will behave correctly.

Embedded frames
An iframe can have a different height, origin and loading sequence from its parent page. GoFullPage’s listing names embedded iframe support; nevertheless, inspect the assembled image for missing or duplicated frame content.
PDFs and custom-scrolling applications
Use the application’s own export function when the content is a PDF or a canvas-like viewer. GoFullPage’s FAQ names PDFs and custom-JavaScript scrolling as cases that can defeat a full-page capture. A browser extension is designed primarily for webpages, not every document viewer.
Quality checklist before you save
- Confirm the URL and wait for the page’s initial loading to finish.
