There is no verified seven-provider list to recommend here: the available evidence does not establish that any particular VPN currently works with Disney+. Disney’s own guidance says VPN or IP-anonymizer use may trigger Error 73 and tells affected users to disable it. If you subscribe and travel, Disney says you can stream the content available in the country or region you are visiting.
Does Disney+ recommend a VPN to unblock its content?
No. Disney’s Help Center lists VPN or IP-anonymizer use as one possible cause of Error 73, alongside trying to watch from a region where Disney+ is unavailable. The displayed message is “This content isn’t available in your current location.” That message does not, by itself, establish that a particular VPN provider caused the problem.

Disney’s instruction for VPN-related Error 73 is to disable the VPN or IP anonymizer and restart the app. Its guidance does not promise that a VPN can unlock another region’s catalog. Disney+ Help Center: Error Code 73 (published February 17, 2026).
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWhy there is no reliable list of seven working providers
Current, independently verified Disney+ playback results for seven VPN providers—including free and paid services—are not established here. A provider’s marketing claim is not proof that it works with Disney+ in a particular country, on a particular device, or at a particular time. Provider access can also change, so a list without dated, reproducible tests would risk presenting an unsupported promise.

A meaningful comparison would need to identify the tested country and date, device and app or browser, whether playback succeeded and at what resolution, connection stability, and whether the plan was free or paid. It should also make relevant data or speed limits, privacy disclosures, simultaneous-connection limits, and refund or price terms clear. Without those details, there is no sound basis to rank providers or recommend a free plan for Disney+.
What Disney’s location rules say
The cited Canadian Disney+ subscriber agreement says users may not “use any technology or technique to obscure or disguise your location when you are accessing the Disney+ Service.” It says geographic restrictions are enforced according to access location, Disney may use methods to verify location, and content availability can be limited by law or third-party rights. This is a provision in the Canadian agreement; it should not be presented as the exact wording of every country’s agreement. Disney+ Canadian Subscriber Agreement (amendment date not established).

How to fix Disney+ Error 73
Disney identifies both regional unavailability and VPN or IP-anonymizer use as possible causes. Follow its troubleshooting guidance rather than assuming the error proves a provider is blocked:

What to expect when traveling
Disney says subscribers abroad can stream the Disney+ content available in the country or region they are visiting. The catalog can differ by location, so access while traveling does not mean the home catalog will remain available. Disney also suggests downloading content before travel and says it may ask subscribers to confirm they are away from home. See Disney+ Help Center: Where is Disney+ available? (published October 6, 2026).
