Clear rights for every part of the broadcast
A cloud service does not provide music or visual rights. YouTube says, “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” If it detects a match, YouTube may replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it. A license alone may not prevent interruption: the rights owner may also need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Plan a visual alongside the music: for example, original artwork, an animation, or a visualizer you have permission to use. Keep a live broadcast and its replay as separate goals
A continuously live channel and a complete saved archive are not the same thing. Restream’s duration guidance says YouTube has no livestream duration limit but only archives streams under 12 hours. It also warns that Restream’s own servers may undergo maintenance and restart during continuous streams longer than 24 hours, and recommends restarting. Recheck current YouTube guidance if a complete replay matters to you; do not assume an uninterrupted live broadcast will produce a full-length archive.
