Read the platform label carefully
PlayStation’s Ireland product page identifies Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition as a PS4 release and says it is playable on PS5. The same page warns that some PS4 features may be absent. Therefore, “Can I play Dragon Quest XI S on PS5?” has a qualified answer: yes, through PS5 compatibility, but it is not the same as buying a native PS5 edition with every PS4 feature guaranteed.
