ComicBook.com reported on October 5, 2026, that Best Buy’s Techtober sale offered a 32GB Lenovo Legion Go S for $999.99, compared with a reported $1,199.99 launch price. The report calls it the handheld’s lowest price yet, but that record-low claim has not been independently verified, and Best Buy’s available listing does not consistently confirm the reported offer. Check the live price and exact model before buying.
What price did the Techtober report give?
Colette Bennett’s October 5, 2026, ComicBook.com report named a sale price of $999.99 for a 32GB Legion Go S and gave its launch price as $1,199.99. Those figures are the report’s claims, not a confirmed current Best Buy price.

Is the Legion Go S at its lowest price yet?
That is how ComicBook.com characterized the reported $999.99 offer. The available information does not include an independent, dated price-history record establishing that it is the lowest price the device has reached. Treat “lowest price yet” as the publication’s claim, not a verified historical comparison.

Which Legion Go S model has SteamOS?
Best Buy’s SteamOS listing identifies the Ryzen Z1 Extreme configuration with 32GB RAM and a 1TB SSD as model 83N6000GUS. Best Buy also lists a separate Windows configuration with the same processor, memory and storage, but its model number is 83N60000US. The numbers are similar, so check the operating system and full model number on the product page rather than relying on the Legion Go S name alone.
What to check before ordering
- Open Best Buy’s current Legion Go S listing and confirm the price shown at checkout; the reported $999.99 is not confirmed by the captured retailer fields.
- Confirm the listing is for SteamOS model 83N6000GUS if that is the version you want, and verify Ryzen Z1 Extreme, 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD in the specifications.
- If comparing the Windows version, make sure its listing says model 83N60000US. Do not assume that a matching processor, memory and storage means the operating system or model is the same.
- For a historical-low decision, consult a reliable price-history record covering the exact model and date range. The available information does not establish a record low.
Accessories and compatibility
Best Buy’s SteamOS product listing also surfaces a Legion Go S carry case and screen protector. Their appearance alongside the listing does not establish Amazon availability or universal compatibility across Legion Go S variants.
